Absolutely this. It's the only good antivehicle weapon the series has seen since Halo 3 broke everything by introducing that shitty laser, outside of maybe the missile pod where the tracking and speed of the projectiles didn't really match up that well.
I'm frankly not convinced that multiperson aerial vehicles can work in a traditional Halo game. For a passenger seat to be able to hold objective carriers, those seats have to be super exposed so you can actually get a shot on them - the current Falcon with the flag guy in the center seat would be awful and you'd never be able to get him out of there if the Falcon didn't turn sideways. I didn't really like the Halo 3 multiplayer Hornet either - you'd spawn in the middle of nowhere on Avalanche, get peppered for a full ten seconds, and whether you died or not neither player had a good time in that engagement. Then if you didn't have antiair weapons and they got the flag on there, you had a five second window to BR the carrier before the wonder twins of spread and netcode decided you weren't going to be able to get him.
Even single person aerial vehicles are questionable. If they want to keep the Banshee, that bomb has to go. Even in Halo 2, where I think it was restricted enough into a harassment role, serious problems with how different weapons damaged it were present (Team Rifles on Ascension!). I kind of just want them to perfect the ground combat and leave the stuff that's never really worked well out.
