Basically came to say that. The "Cinematic BTS" was just a bunch of cool glowy effects set to music...
BTS have all had some narration as well, right? Just seemed ridiculous to pitch it as a BTS.
The Halo 4 alpha was hidden in Halo CEA's extras menu all along, I knew it!

Speaking of which, has anyone here actually used the 3D mode in Anniversary?
PS : I'm gonna leave my Xbox on while I do homework. Shoot me an invite if you want to play.
I have used the 3D mode, cuts the resolution in half so jaggies are overly abundant, the effect is nice but its just not worth it.

Was not in the classic version.
The depth effect is amazing but the cost is just too much.
For big news? Microsoft is making the 29th their big news day with the Windows 8 consumer preview and the Spring Showcase event. So if there is anything Halo 4 I expect it to be their or have its own event.

Yup, but isn't everything embargoed til March 5th? Im hoping Halo 4 is at the event even if Frankie kinda alluded to it not being there. If it is there I hope we find out for sure before the 5th.
But what I meant was is there a day of the week when media usually hits the web? Like if not tied to an event?
He did allude to it not being there but still we have heard no comment from anyone at 343 if it will be there or not so there still is a chance I guess.
Also usually the beginning of the month is when most major news stories go up for video games.

-Microsoft wants 343 to be silent and neither confirm or deny

SSX and possible Halo 4 news this week (please)=potential to be a very good week indeed.
That Halo: Reach snow world mod is done and has snow themed covers for the weapons and vehicles.
Really hope we have the ability to change themes in Halo 4 forge. Always thought that would be a cool thing to add.

That's pretty awesome. I wonder if the forge world pieces are snow-themed too.
If we could have around 5 different themes of forge world in Halo 4 with a proper frame rate, that'd be great.

So take from that what you want as it isn't definitive in any direction expect that we shouldn't get our hopes up unless we are told to. That doesn't rule out a nice surprise, so there still is hope.
That is awesome and reminds me of how much I love snowy environments. I love the new vehicle skins they did, I really wish we could have actually got more vehicle variants like that.
I was actually expecting PoA SLASO myself. But then again, for all we know every daily after today is going to be varying amounts of kills for Flat Tire.

These are some of my favorite weeklies because it requires you to follow more than one day and you'll usually attempt some you wouldn't ever bother with otherwise.
The time it was 20 (or was it 24?) dailies in a week was a hoot.

Well depending on what they reveal first, MP or SP, and assuming its online or at an event, then I suppose the other thing could get a GI reveal. I always liked the cover stories, so I would be surprised if they didn't try to get something.
Random memory- Were armor permutations in Halo 3 revealed in a european magazine, or was it just that some of the first images came that way? I suddenly had a flashback of looking at pictures online showing the EVA and CQB armor.
The reveal for the next Halo game (if there is one) is going to be like no other game. I don't think it's going to be a trailer and a magazine article/cover. I really think its going to be an event. Something that is going to blow you away. I don't know the outlets they'll use but it's not going to be like any other reveal we've seen (especially Halo).
Although I didn't complete either, the 77 wins a week would be so much worse for me. I almost always play solo and I could spend an afternoon playing great and only come away with a couple wins. At least with the completion weeklies, that doesn't matter. Every game counts. Not true with the wins. You could wind up playing well over 150 games to get 77 wins if you play solo like I usually do.This is still the worst weekly:

This weeks weekly is so easy im kind of tempted, then again with over a million CR to rank up im not sure its worth it, btw sorry yesterday guys, couldnt really talk or play that much. Had to bail out on that awesome mongoose game.
SSX is like the perfect game for leaving the xbox running and then just doing an attempt here and there between getting stuff done, it does mean I suck in party chats though!Still not as lame as Xand.

Yeah, I definitely favored partying up last week, and if my fortunes in a playlist seemed to be going south, I switched to another playlist. I also avoided FFA completely.
Although I do agree that the multi day weeklies are the most fun, around 3 days to finish (like this one) are the sweet spot. It's good to have shorter ones once in a while though to have a nice ebb and flow in difficulty levels.

I hate crap like that.
The footage itself is pretty neat; whoever made it did a good job. I just get very annoyed when they try to pass it off as a leaked ViDoc.
I'd even be okay with making it look like a leaked ViDoc as long as the video title and description both clearly label it as a fan-made concept.
My thoughts on the video would completely change if the title was more honest:
"Nice job! Looks pretty convincing."
versus
"Nice try, asshole. Obviously fake."
