I know SWAT and Snipers were ranked in Halo 3, but I always felt that they should be social.

12 would be better. We do not need Living Dead, needs special variants, not stock maps. Oh and definetly needs custom game types, not the default shit we were offered in Halo 3 and Reach.

Would Team Hardcore be something with limited lives? Would love such gametype.
EDIT i'd like Social SWAT as well, if Halo 4's SWAT feels more or less like Halo 3's, it'd be fun to play with my friend (guest).

Am not. Easily the most efficient way, going by game time, medals earned, and credits paid out.

(then again I am the fucking man at Grifball, so your experiences may differ)

Please put zombies in BTB, as it started out. There was a map in Halo 2 with a crashed pelican that it was awesome for.

How about they just bring BTB back to the Halo 3 glory days

Teams of 8 should match other teams of 8. CTF, Assault, Slayer. Defined bases, not undefined play spaces (Spire, Boneyard, etc).

Well I can agree that pre-Heavies H3 BTB was better than Reach BTB, but I would say Halo 2 BTB were the glory days.
 

I used to play with teams of 8, and you would do your best to match with other teams of 8 by backing out of the Player Found screen when anything less than 8 players would drop at once.

Standoff CTF games could go the entire 15 minutes without a single cap. Nail biters. BTB in Reach is now yuks and no one gives a crap.

How does everyone think 343 would have to go about bringing back Team Objective? Was it just the AA's that killed it in Reach?

and by bringing back I mean making it a popular playlist again.

Objective has never been popular in any online console Halo title.

Making good BTB for Halo 4 shouldn't be hard:
Good large maps, no medium sized maps for BTB (that one map in Reach whose name i don't remember, starts with B?, not Boneyard though it is shit as well)
BR/comparable weapon starts
No Heavies
No unbalanced vehicles
No stupid game modes, just Slayer, CTF (neutral?, two Flag, one Flag?) and Assault (Neutral, two Bomb?, one Bomb?)

Yep, I agree with you 100%. Specifically on the map sizes. The fact that they use medium-sized maps isn't even the big problem, it's the fact that they feel it's necessary to throw in a fucking Banshee or 10 different vehicles on said map, and use crazy gametypes no one is interested in.

Banshee wouldn't be an issue if it is properly balanced, not the death machine it is in Reach. Halo 3's was a bit too good but close to well balanced?

It did, but these were my picks, some of the most memorable gametypes/matches for me.

Banshee has never been balanced IMO, but it was far less of a problem in Halo 3 mostly due to the fact that they gave you Spartan Lasers in Halo 3. They really should have added Lasers into Reach, oh wait.
