Yeah, I hope that balance is much better struck.
No easy task though. Especially with the date being November. And wanting to be part of the community but go "dark" is no easy task either.

If I had been doing the marketing for Halo 4, the first trailer would've been set to this music. Let the Chief get out of his tube, let Cortana fill him in what's going on. And then at the end, bam, big motherfucking Forerunner planet reveal.
I hope the game starts out with something sounding like this, though. Would be beatiful to have the Chief wake up to the tunes he went to sleep with. :lol

That really is an awesome piece of music. Long time since I've heard it.
Yeah, remember that one time Nintendo showed off its awful Wii Music game.
Then PS3 showed off its awful rip off Wii device.
Then MS showed off their nobody is going to buy this $100 peripheral.
How magical? So magical.
Yup. I'm not going dark. Too hard to do and less fun overall I think. I just hope they leave some surprises in multiplayer (maps and armor?) as well as campaign. Don't show us things from every mission. Don't show something like the downed Covenant ship like was shown in a Reach trailer. I don't like that reveals and trailers these days contain all or most of the biggest moments in the game itself.

Pretty sure it did (is doing) its job for the audience it set out for. I doubt many people got it for hardcore gaming.
Lol Wii Music is the worst. Nintendo hasn't had a good E3 since they announced the 3DS games coming.

Anyways E3 is always awesome for Halo for me at least, still remember that H2 campaign mission with the single shot BR, then that Zanzibar Halo 2 footage while loading a ghost, and coming home from class and seeing that amazing H3 E3 trailer with Chief walking through the dust and the music cuts in.
