The small town I live in has a population of about 24,000, yet there are four Gamestops within a 0.9 mile stretch (and a fifth about three miles away). Two of them are in the same mall, separated only by a Subway, a candy store, and a Hot Topic. If the used game market starts to dry up, they could easily start chucking Xbox controllers through each other's windows.
Omaha has 7 24 hour Wal Marts. 8 if you count the one a few minutes across the river in Iowa in Council Bluffs.
And they're building
another one in Omaha. A city that only has 400,000 people in it, officially.
We also had the situation where there was 3 Gamestops within a block of each other, although it happened due to them buying out EBGames, so when they converted them they ended up with redundant stores.
There's also places in this city where you can stand on a certain corner and see two different Taco Bells (10 of those) or two different Burger Kings (which we have almost 30 of). It's like
how is this city supporting this edit: and i live within a couple blocks of a regional chain, Hy-Vee, which is also a 24 hour store.
What's the fitness thread here on GAF? I need some help.
I just asked Tashi.
He's been pretty helpful!
