Halo 2 is ridiculous on legendary solo. Never even got past Cairo Station...
Biggy and ExWife's recount made me think of mine and Tuna's legendary run through of the game. The Library can be a WHOLE lot of fun with the right crew. That level gets thrown under the rug way too often!
Been driving all day but things of note: Computron's meltdown was excellent today and I'm going to see Batman for a third time in an hour.
I'm an excited boy!

sorry I didnt get back to you about the podcast, I spent 18 hours at disneyland yesterday hehYa got one Tunavi
FatKid confirmed.
Halo 2 legendary is exactly how hard I want H4 legendary to be.
Come at me bro's.
Halo 1 is the hardest while still being fair. Probably the most enjoyable Halo game on Legendary for me.
Also, Halo 2 Legendary co-op has iron on doesn't it?
Huh, didn't know that.Doesn't work in CE or CE:A , that feature first appeared in Halo 2.
Only if it's good hard and not cheap hard.

This. The endless spawns of enemy who are only shooting at you is so frustrating. It is not tough or something. It's just unfair and shitty.Fuck all of CoD's Veteran difficulty settings
in fact, fuck CoD

Funny story (well, in my opinion) about me playing this game. I bought it (First CoD I bought myself, actually) and immediately played the campaign co-op with my clanmates. So we're doing good and everything, and we get to near the end, where you're playing as the Russians storming the Reichstag.
We clear out the outside area, and I'm chilling behind cover. My buddies are all over on one side, I'm on the other. They've already played through the campaign.
"Uh, Fyre, you might want to get over here."
"Why? They're coming out over there. I'm over here. I'm doing good."
*COLUMN'D*
I'll never forget my first battle with the Hunters on the first mission of ODST. Those things chased me around and through the courtyard a dozen times before I dropped them. I want to feel that kind of terror at an enemy appearance again, but the sandbox in Halo 4 will likely preclude it.

Outside of the Halo series, what game has that?
I've been replaying Crysis 1 and warhead, which are commonly held up on GAF for their AI, but left feeling unimpressed. Crysis 2 is like playing god with the suit so I treat it like completely different category of game.
I can't think of any interesting AI singleplayer FPSes off the top of my head and I need something to play.
I remember that I went into a Building and it was there waiting for me. Scariest moment in a Halo game. Can't wait to see the hunters in H4 (hoping they're in).
In terms of ODST, the first mission. That hunter encounter was indeed brilliant. I still remember the gold one following me inside a building.
The sheer terror that followed...
Perfect Dark.
XBLA version is 10$. It's basically an entirely different game from when you play it on Agent to when you play it on Perfect Agent.
Hunters should be able to run faster that you are when running backwards. They also need to be able to easily punch people in close range, even when they're behind it. Being up close should mean death when fighting against Hunters. That would make them a much more threatening enemy. In ODST you can just punch Hunters in the back until they fall over without much trouble.
Good games everyone.
I'd like to get back on. SC2 is making me rageAnyone up for Reach? GT Pixelfox
I should be more clear, combat AI like flanking and squad behavior is what I mean.
I have that game, (we should play that sometime) but it never gave me the impression of a tactically impresive AI especially given that they don't have the best maps or sandbox IMO. They do have a cool feel to the combat with all the animations and reactivity and I do like the idea of changing/additional mission objectives on higher difficulties though.
It's got to be hard for the right reasons. Halo 2 was hard because the enemies dealt so much damage you felt downright fragile, while they became damage sponges. Also, Jackal snipers.
For me, Halo 3 was perfect on Legendary with a couple skulls toggled on (Thunderstorm, Tilt). The AI was tough but fair.

Well yeah, they didn't have the memory on the N64 to have enough enemies to do flanking
The AI in Rage seems pretty cool.

Wait Tunavi, you were at disneyland? You're in Orange County?
also, just saw Total Recall, complete with Halo 4 video
It was mostly about how making Halo 4 is like making a movie, there's motion capture, sets, artists, etc. It goes over how the score was recorded at Abbey Road. Then goes on to say that unlike a movie, you can experience Halo 4 in different ways, so it's pretty cool. This post isn't long enough. Describe it in great detail.
Where's the Team Obj Crew? I got jackpots to win.

No. He only likes the pain. You like to subject yourself to unbearable situations, don't you?
yeah, spending a few days here. this place is just as awesome as I rememberWait Tunavi, you were at disneyland? You're in Orange County?

I thought the Brutes had a stale quality to them and were too easy of an opponent. The only dynamic they really brought to the table was their use of equipment. All the agileness and battlefield cunning I felt that the Elites brought to the table in CE, was replaced by bullet sponges in the Brute gameplay of Halo 3. I really appreciated the concept art and cannon of the Brutes and even somewhat enjoyed them in Halo 2, but overall I think Brutes were implemented wrong in 3. I originally imagined them very differently than the rhino monkeys they were finally fleshed out as.
