I'm talking about two different "voices", one of Cortana and another of the supposed Geas.

I have quoted what Greg Bear said on the issue in my previous post about unmixed DNA strains. I really can't see how or who would have imprinted Master Chief with a Geas and for what purpose.

We never really got a formal explanation on Reach's
Tribunal system within the Data Pads that seemed to have guided humanity's progress as a species
... maybe they have something to do with it.

Also of note, it was really obvious when Fracas invited me to the Xbox game. I went from loading the map in about 4 seconds (SSD) to 20 or so because it had to wait for everyone on console to load.

It also wouldn't give me the Brother From Another Mother achievement :(

edit: well shit, technically it should have given me like 2 or 3 for cross-platform stuff.

From what little I have heard its a ongoing way to balance the game. Some kind of continuous way for them to receive game feed back, data, balance the sandbox, and stop cheaters. I'm not sure if its like a web site or what. They have only vaguely mentioned it.

And a related question: If anyone gets a copy early, can a separate thread be made for campaign spoilers? I'd really like to keep that stuff out of here.

I doubt enough people will get it early to warrant a new thread. And if you really want to avoid spoilers, bailing out of the thread at the first sign of legit leaks is the best option. :-\

Agree to this, the amount of speculation and spoilers can be a CALAMITY! :p

Also, I was wondering if HaloGAF is going to be more involved to be playing Campaign, SpOps, and War Games?

I think in the April spark cast. I guess it will be a web site. It will also provide pretty much stat and data overload for the player as well. They want to give players statistical data advantage. Kinda like when pro sports player's watch old games and try to see how they can improve. Its data that is AA and weapon and play style specific to help you pick the best combo's sounds cool.

Although if anyone wants to do midnight launch customs, I'd be totally down with that. Some crazy shit would come out of no one knowing the weapons/maps/mechanics.

For the first time ever, I think I might play multiplayer before campaign. I really want to try it for my self.

Lol but seriously, fuck Halo 2 on Legendary. I burned through on Heroic and called it a day.

Here's hoping Halo 4 Legendary is difficult in a good way, not arbitrarily like Halo 2 (IMO).
I actually quite enjoyed my solo run of Reach on Legendary. It's tough, but not in the "run 2 steps, get sniped by a jackal" way.

I refuse to believe somebody walked down those various Legendary sniper alleyways about 20 fuckin' times getting hit in the head immediately and thought, "Yeah, this works. SHIP IT!"

That's about the only reason why I didn't finish the game on legendary.
Jackal snipers can go fuck themselves.

Actually it's not that bad as long as you remember to always peek out the other side of your cover to take your next shot.

So get to cover, shoot from left side ONCE then change to other right side and shoot ONCE then repeat going back to left, right, left, right.

You're able to get a single shot off every time against the Jackal snipers this way. Also do not take the vehicles, they are certain death on legendary against Jackal snipers.
