Why is my 40k forum exploding with people arguing about competitive vs casual just like we have with Halo?

Shit is weird.

Seeing literally the exact same arguments, verbatim, just about 40k instead of Halo. "A good competitive base game will be better for both casual AND competitive players..."

I think it's just natural with competitive multiplayer. The Warmachine forums have been the same way for years. (or at least used to be, I haven't been there in ages.)

What do you mean specifically by content packages, because BF3 takes a dump on that rule unless I'm missing something here (GTA IV as well)?

Yeah shit haters gonna hate. The Elite Slayer games sucked, but those rocket hog race games were the most fun I've had in Reach in a while (certainly way better than the horrid BTB and Invasion games were played earlier).

That Wolf logo is pretty awesome. I don't think I could ever bring myself to wear it on a t-shirt, but it's still pretty rad.

I'd also like to formally thank kylej for that Slurp song, I'm still laughing at it and I love it. Thank you.

I loved the concept of Invasion when it was advertised, and still appreciate the escalating warfare and expanding of the map. However, the experience was destroyed by balance issues.

I'm curious to see if some evolved concepts like escalating sandbox items, or map expansion will make an appearance in some form or playlist of H4.

To be fair, MLG seems pretty terrible at monetizing their content. If you strip everything down, MLG is essentially a video production company. They stream and publish videos of events and whatever else they do. Realizing that, they have by far one of the worst websites for finding and watching videos. It's bizarre.

For example: 2008 National Championships was big; Halo 3 was hitting its stride and the greatest Str8 lineup won it all.

Try to find a game from the final series. Hell try to find a game from that whole event. It's so bad. I remember going to MrGlobalHD's youtube channel before MLG shut it down, because he would have all the events up and categorized within a day of an event finishing. One guy did it better than the entirety of MLG. Not like you have to reinvent the wheel either, these days there are a million streaming porn sites that all work pretty well at giving people content they want to watch. Rip the best layouts of those sites off and make it work.

i love mine, honestly its just flat out better than the standard controller

the added bumpers make Reach so much nicer
(having armor ability on the second bumper)

it makes claims that the grip is so good and etc, it really is

plus lets be honest, the light up buttons are awesome
