It gets hot and when it does it lowers the shooting frequency. You have to vent it manually. (aka reloading)Wiggum2007 said:It doesn't have a depleting battery like other plasma weapons?
It's Activision.Dax01 said:Read the details of the deal, Ghaleon. It's not as bad as it first appears.
Bungie, now 180 employees strong, was founded in 1991 with two simple goals: develop games that combine brilliant technology, beautiful art, compelling stories and deep gameplay, and sell enough copies to achieve its real goal of total world domination.
GhaleonEB said:What the fuck, Bungie?
Or EA, a publisher that isn't totally evil anymore. But joining with Activision right after the IW fallout is pretty shitty.Son of Godzilla said:Could have been Sega.
All activision has is the publishing rights and thats it, Bungie has all creative freedom and this is only 1 of their new IP's, so Bungie didnt make a bad choice, they just got someone to publish their game. Now Bungie would be stupid to let them do anything else than publish but since this deal was only about publishing, they are in the clear.Bungieware said:I don't mean to offend you, but I think you're being very naive.
Anyway, does anyone know if the range of the shotgun has increased at all? In one of the videos I saw it seemed to have a greater range.
A single day can only be so awesome. This is the universe balancing things out.GhaleonEB said:The Activision news was the absolute worst thing possible to wake up to. What the fuck, Bungie?

Yeah, I know Acitivision is bad, but everyone is acting like Bungie has sold itself to Activision, and that's far from it. Activision only has control over Bungie's next, new IP, that one new IP, and that's it.GhaleonEB said:It's Activision.
Like, I don't shop at Wal-Mart because I consider them a very damaging influence on the world and my community. I don't buy Activision games because I think they do great harm to the gaming industry and their developers. I'm just groggy and shocked.
Bungie keeps the IP, and hopefully has full control over DLC issues such as timing and pricing so Activision can't fuck Bungie around like Microsoft has.
I'm obviously there for whatever Bungie's working on next, but going with Activision is very un-Bungie like.
Dirtbag said:Whats funny is all this rabble-rabble about the Activision thing, when in all actuality Joe Consumer doesn't know / care / have any clue who activision is. Most American gamer's don't give a fuck, they just know IP's and EA Sports.
I hate it when kylej makes me smile.kylej said:Now you see why I question Bungie's decision making...
When I think of unlimited ammo I think shoot forever no reloading. I've never really thought of a covenant weapon having unlimited ammo.Dirtbag said:You know, I'm pretty sure all the enemy weapons are unlimited ammo, they just have a random clip amount when dropped.
Which doesn't exactly bode well for Bungie making a new IP now does it?:lolDirtbag said:Whats funny is all this rabble-rabble about the Activision thing, when in all actuality Joe Consumer doesn't know / care / have any clue who activision is. This isn't balance. It's like getting a blow job in the morning and then getting run over by a truck. On balance, I'd rather neither happen.EazyB said:A single day can only be so awesome. This is the universe balancing things out.
Conveniently distracts from F&F furore!metareferential said:Bungie is not classy.
How could you announce such a thing right in the crucial phase of Reach development?
Yea, EA/Acti/Ubi/T2 are very recognizeable brands. Developers, not so much.randomlyrossy said:You're half right, Joe Comsumer usually assumes the publisher is who makes the game, at least in my experience. So they're most likely to see something and go "oh hey that's the guys that made CoD".
GhaleonEB said:Done ranting now. I'll cope. Bring on the Beta.
Working with the most vile publisher in the business? Not classy.Shake Appeal said:And Bungie is totally classy. How dare you.
Just make sure you post some sweet clips today so I can have something nice to cry to.EazyB said:A single day can only be so awesome. This is the universe balancing things out.
I doubt kylej was suggesting it was a poor decision from a business perspective...Dirtbag said::lol
Yeah I'm sure the wad of cash and the higher percentage they undoubtedly make from this deal was a silly move on Bungie's part. Come back down to Earth guys.
My only disappointment is that the beta doesn't have forge so I can make a statue of Kotick and teabag it.squidhands said:Just make sure you post some sweet clips today so I can have something nice to cry to.
Recognizable sure, but the consumer doesn't care.Son of Godzilla said:Yea, EA/Acti/Ubi/T2 are very recognizeable brands. Developers, not so much.
But it's just like in the movies! The doe-eyed developer with a heart of gold wins over the old and miserly publisher.SimpleDesign said:Working with the most vile publisher in the business? Not classy.

Joke post. I'm still unaware of the actual news. Activision should make Bungie do things though. Master Chief Pro Skateboard peripheral confirmed.Dax01 said:Joke post or semi-serious? Activision can't make Bungie do anything.
