Invasion will be my home tonight, can't wait, i'm excited to play def with spartans then attacking as elites, always feels good to be the weaker side trying your best.

I think there are a lot of people who seem to hate the BR and so love Reach simply because its gone. :lol Im pretty sure those same people will hate the Pistol/ DMR this time next year. As much as I miss the BR, my real problems with Reach arent from the weapons, but from the gameplay.


NJ Slice, the way those work is that every time you get a certain amount of headshots for example, you 'rank' up to the next headshot commendation, its sort of like CoD style challenges. I think there are 5 stages for each commendation and the picture (and presumably CR reward) gets nicer each time.

If you click on Commendations you can see the progress you have at each of those.

I think they're divided in 5 levels
No blue bars means level 1
One blue bar means level 2
Two blue bares means level 3
Then you have a gold bar(like you have for assists)
And I've yet to reach the last level on a commendation

Hmm, along with being a bronze for 1620's it seems the ranking disappears and returns with each subsequent refresh of the page. Wonder if they are toying with the rankings.

The only bad games I had was my first one last night, but it only takes your highest 3 so that is why I am confused. I guess the could be still working out the kinks though.

No, all your bad games and games count towards your TrueSkill rating, not your Arena rating.

It only takes your highest three for your daily rating, not for your division, if I understand correctly.

Still am Onyx although I don't know if it will change if I boot up Reach.

They must be working out some kinks. 1620's is definitely not bronze. You will prolly be re-assigned to Gold.

My frist day was 1676, second say was 1610. I can expect somethign in between today so I'm shooting for Gold.

TrueSkill is much more elastic now (i.e. it's working properly), so you'd likely bounce up again very quickly.

Your rating doesn't mean that much, it only says how well you did in a certain game, because you could easily get a 1700's game against people who suck but (most likely) not against good players. So basicly your trueskill rating still plays a big role, but it is calculated differently. (based on your own performance, and not just your team like in halo 3)

So I got an extermination last night...something I was unable to do in Halo 3 outside of Grifball...and have not been able to repeat since the achievement for it came out :lol

Anyhow happened like this...1 Flag on Power House on defense...grabbed rockets...went around and up the stairs into flag room...caught two entering from the right for the double...spun around caught the other two entering from the left for the extermination. So satisfying.

Armour is great for all occasions. But yeah it's particularly effective in that scenario, I will fully admit to armour locking while screaming "LITTLE HELP". :lol

I did for a while until I got my stride with the DMR. I only pick up the Nerfle now if I can't quickly find something else (gotta ditch the AR as fast as possible).
