For those that didn't see it here's the parts of MLG Halo Sundance mentioned last night. (If you don't want to hear the other guy Sundance starts at 1:33.
"Bungie left us with a game that was a disservice to the history of the franchise in a lot of ways..."
"However, we'll still cash the checks that the game brings us and beg for a playlist in matchmaking."
I may or may not have heard there may or may not be trouble in paradise :x
Pretty sure if Starcraft wasn't on the circuit they'd be losing money by holding events for Reach, just saying.
Agreed. Me want new info.Just thinking about the lack of significant Halo 4 news recently. Should we be worried?
- About 10 months away from scheduled "gold" time
- Not a single single screenshot or video or any in-game media released
- No multiplayer beta talked about or hinted at
- Highly publicised "resignation" of a key staff member
- No tangible gameplay, story or engine details released or discussed
If this was any other game I'm pretty sure Kotaku and IGN would be running rumour stories about delays or something going wrong. Not that I'm implying there's anything to be worried about at all or anything is wrong, it's just I want to know more about the game at this point.
Every "interview" or official comment about Halo 4 has just been recycling the same stuff about respecting the original trilogy, about how the game will let us get to know the Chief more and about this mysterious new world which is active and alive. There's been no real news in ages - even the HaloFest stuff was vague and they danced around supplying any hard details.
I want facts, hints, vague or cryptic descriptions.

As a friend of mine once said, "It's nice to want things."Agreed. Me want new info.
As a friend of mine once said, "It's nice to want things."
Rest assured, Halo 4 is coming along on schedule. Speaking for myself I can't wait till we're ready to talk about/show more of what we've been creating.

They've already lost money for the last 2 to 3 years even WITH SC2. They're good hype men but not very good at the business side of things.
Based Frankie would never lie to us.
I'm not sure how they could be losing money for 3 years with Starcraft 2 when that game came out a year and a half ago.

Watch him exploit some loophole in his post to brush aside the liar accusations.
Thanks.Nice work Duncan. Happy to lend some elbow grease. Hope it works out.
I mean even with introducing SC2, they're still losing money. After already losing money.
Maybe they should sign a deal with a real soda like Coca Cola or Pepsi instead of Dr Pepper

Whoa. I like!Okay, I've been working on this for a few weeks. I was hoping to get some kind of feedback or approval but nobody ever answered my PMs and I'm impatient.
Here you go:
The post I made on the front page should explain what the site is and (more importantly) what it isn't.
How to get editing access:
- Create a WordPress account if you don't already have one.
- Send me a PM on NeoGAF with your account name and why you want access (e.g. "I want to add my folder of GAF pics to the gallery.", "I want to post custom game events.", etc.)
Everyone might not get full editing control, but at the very least you'll be given enough access to contribute.
The site art isn't too ambitious, I'm fine with the clean look but I'd be happy to change it if our resident artists (Devo, Letters, Ken, etc.) come up with something new.
If there is widespread disapproval of this project (or if the mods want it gone) I can always change things or delete it entirely. Tried my best to get approval beforehand though.
A few ideas:
Devo is welcome to keep the gamertag list updated if she wants, since she did the initial work on that.
Dani can make a sticky post on the front page with the date/time of the next GAF customs.
Tashi can try hiding links to his stream on random pages, until I delete them.
Plywood can keep the GIF gallery well stocked.
...and so on. Enjoy.
Looking at the gamertag list, my gamertag is listed as Nintony 64 but I have changed it to LeeroyPinkerton. Is there where I request have it changed?Okay, I've been working on this for a few weeks. Good job on the website by the way!
Hey, I started with Devo's list. If you weren't on it that's your own fault (or Devo's, but I'm blaming you).
That feel when I'm not in the gamertag section

Yours is still the most recent wave of new members, I think.I haven't seen anyone fill out that survey since my group joined. Interesante.
Great job, this is real nice. :O
perhaps halogaf noob survey should be added somewhere in there for easy access

Is nothing sacred?Oh and a quick question. Is there any chance of 85%/bleed-thru etc being applied to the Team Slayer playlist?
I only ask because while I am aware that TO/SS playlists have it - these 2 playlists are damn near unplayable for me as an Australian. I can spend significant periods of time searching for players, and either get matched with Mexicans etc (I am not even joking) or the trueskill system goes completely out the window and it matches me with the first Australians it sees. It's becoming more and more apparent recently that as an Australian , even in the 6pm-10pm range, Team Slayer and BTB are the only playlists that have a significant enough Aussie population for matchmaking to do its thing.
