The Spirit of Fire's slipspace engine was rendered useless, so they could only travel at sub-light speeds. Also, I don't remember, but I also believe they didn't know the location of the Shield World in relation to UNSC territory, as they were simply following the Covenant. Either way, wherever they ended up after Halo Wars, they took long, slow way to get there.

I wonder if that extra ending bit was put in before or after Ensemble were no more.
I doubt we'll find out what the event is now which is a shame because Halo Wars 2 would be awesome.

Don't count it out. Robot was born from the ashes of Ensemble and MS have tasked them with looking after HW. They have been keeping the game updated post release and doing pretty well.

Considering that the HW engine is already built and Robot is staffed by folks that worked and developed it, a sequel using the same engine wouldn't be too far fetched.

Plus, it would ensure future leverage for Halo Reach post release content similar to HW/ODST/Mythic. As anti-consumer as that whole episode seemed, Microsoft maximised the money they got from the whole deal and I would not rule out a repeat performance, especially where quick and easy profit is concerned.

And yeah, I'd love Halo Wars 2. Add in a Covie alternate campaign and they're set.

So what's the over/under on at least one Covenant mission? I'll say 75% chance at least one mission will be from the Covie perspective.

It's sad that this is the only way I think Bungie could ever get away with going that extra mile for fans whilst giving the publisher a raspberry. All in a professional manner. :lol

I'm making a YouTube channel with all the latest Xbox 360 videos. I decided to upload the Halo: Reach trailer to play catchup. After a while of uploading I check to see if it's up. I get greeted with a message saying it was rejected for Copyright Infringement... wtf. There are thousands of these on YouTube... -_- I'm just trying to start a popular YouTube channel.

Same thing happened to me when I uploaded the trailer to our YouTube channel. No lie.

If it comes today, then you are looking at between 4 and 14 hours for the postman to put the magazine through letterboxes.

After that, who knows how long it'll be before someone realises it's sitting on their floor.

If not today, add another 24 hours onto that.

Worse case, if not then, add 36.

Ditto. I was just messing around one day looking at the "control panel" and was quite delighted after tinkering with it for a few minutes.

Those options I suggested, should make it appear and function slightly more like GAF-esque forums.

I'd honestly be shocked if we didn't see a new Halo Wars game in 2011. It sold rather well and it fills a pretty specific niche in the 360's library AND it has mass appeal to a chunk of 360 owners.

As much as I love Halo , Microsoft really needs to lay off it for a while. Microsoft should really acquire some more talent and make new ips and not have to rely on Halo, gears and Forza.
You hear me microsoft new ips, a BF2 clone make it happen.

If you look closely at the trailer, you'll see that Noble Team aren't really that good at spotting the Covenant. I'd expect a fleet to go by and they'd still miss it.
