because when cross-map rocket kills do happen, they are far more epic.

You're just mad because you can't 4 shot someone holding a laser half way across the map with a BR. Either be thankful they're wasting it on infantry or get a sniper rifle. I'm not trying to say that rockets and laser are direct equivalents, but they're very close. Also, having to lead vehicles with the rocket launcher was way more fun.

Wait, he was talking about how overpowered the laser is to Vehicles.

Rockets and the Laser are like two different ends of the spectrum when dealing with Vehicles, one is a precise scalpel which garuntees kills without the vehicle driver knowing while the other is a blunt instrument which requires pretty much near sacrificing yourself just to risk getting the kill.

Theyre not close when used against vehicles at all.

Then why does laser vs. infantry keep coming up? If a laser can destroy a vehicle, it better be able to destroy a spartan. Perhaps they should decrease the damage by 10% like they did with the snipe rifle speed by extending it from 0.5 to 0.75 s. (Should someone tell Griesemer that 0.25 is not 10% of 0.5?)

From the sound bite we've recieved the sniper has a slightly lower rate of fire and a significant reload time. Combined with the reticle bloom, it seems to have recieved nerfs in the amount of damage it can do per period of time.

Looking back at the multiplayer trailer, the part where the active camo sniper no-scopes his opponent, the sniper sounds is most definitely not deadened.

Is the article misunderstanding this ability or the sniper sound is just reduced, and not completely silent. Or are the opponent's deaf with the active camo near. What chu think?

Nothing wrong with a Laser killing infantry up close.

It's a problem if it acts like a sniper on maps. A Rocket is a hit or miss from even medium distances unless you lead properly. That's why they had a lock-on for Rockets in 2 to go against the speedy Ghosts, Banshee, and the Warthog, which was tons faster in 2 than in Halo 3.

nah they really dont. they used to with foundry maps, but kc doesnt really test anymore and doesnt communicate with mappers at all. and it is broke, because those maps just make comp play boring to play and watch, especially compared to halo 1 & 2.

really the whole of mlg is awful now, it was pretty cool from 04-06 then it went off the deep end

To each his own I guess. I really enjoy the current map set and watching MLG has always been really interesting to me. I just love seeing the top players executing new strategies, jumps and setups. The only problem I have with MLG is that they have events in New Jersey instead of NYC, nowadays at least.

edit: and I hear it as "Up, there you were" lol
 
So I was playing MM earlier with Zeouterlimits, Dani, my brother and a friend. This is what happens when Dani and Zeouterlimits discuss an anime event in Dublin they hadn't realised the other knew about :p Match was followed by girls, cars, beer and guns ;)

There was a really weird collective feeling of amnesia that night.

My idea: Get rid of the banshee. Remove the guns from the warthog, so that it is used only as a transport for ctf and bomb games a la Halo1. Get rid of the tank and wraith. Get rid of ghosts. Get rid of choppers. In fact, just get rid of all vehicles. Problem solved! Vehicles are stupid, and the onslaught of vehicles being thrown into the game is slowly removing the focus of Halo being a first person shooter. I'd rather Bungie scrap vehicles and focus on making a ton of multiplayer maps built around non-vehicle combat.

Maybe Bungie can create a separate game for all the vehicle junkies out there called "Twisted Halo." What a perfect and fitting name for a halo game that has completely lost its identity.

You're most likely not serious but I sometimes dick around with the sniper rifle and it's easy as shit to no scope people up close.
