Soooooooooooooo not for me
You're all for violence and yet this was unnecessary? Why? No one feels shitty when they're killing innocent zombie civilians. They don't know what they're doing since they're brain dead but we massacre them in hordes and say fuck yeah when we see their blood. In comparison, we have regular stupid civilians in this game polluting the world, making it black and white. If anything, everyone should feel worse killing zombies. This guy is bringing peace to the world again by cleansing it of evil.Wow. I'm all for violence in a game, but really? Was this necessary?
A lot of fighters in terrorist groups are not a part of it because they want to be, but because these groups threaten to kill them or their families if they don't comply. Should they be treated the same as those terrorists? How would you know the difference?

This is either poe's law level parody or a truly terrifying post.
Their background is not the issue here. The enemy characters in those games are armed and will kill you if they can. I don't think anyone would argue that violence in the context of self defense is justified when there's no other alternative besides them killing you.

If you care about the gaming industry, do not buy this. Games like this are created for controversy and controversy alone. They bring no substance, meaning or reason, other than to feed of the coverage they are most certain to get from anti violent video games media outlets like the Daily Mail and FOX News (The ''no publicity is bad publicity'' approach.) Hoping that they can amass some kind of cult status with the game.
Games like GTA, Manhunt, COD, Dark Souls and the like, have all been targeted by the media outlets I mentioned above. However us gamer's have been able to provide counterarguments to the claims they make. This game will be a giant red marker for them to exploit (and they will.) Looking at this game, it will be very hard for us to come up with rational and counterarguments this time around.
This game will do more harm than good.
Lol at everyone getting mad and bring up morals. I'm sure a goooood chunk of people here play shooters. No wonder hardly any devs take creative risks these days.
I just skipped 24 pages, is this PC only? Looks hilariously over the top.

"Hatred" is a genocide simulator developed by Neo-Nazis
“Hatred" is an independent PC game by a group of Polish developers. In order to set it apart for promotional reasons, the developers have stated that they are committed to "pure gameplay", claiming that mass murder of civilians by an angry disenfranchised man is more "honest" or somehow free from political narrative, unlike other modern games.
imageHatred is not apolitical. In fact, the opposite is true - it’s a game about glorifying violent racism and white supremacy. Consider the game’s trailer, which conspicuously lingers on the white protagonist brutally murdering and mutilating people of color.

In this photo of the development team, we can see that one of the developers wears a shirt depicting a historical anti-communist military group (Żołnierze wyklęci, historically associated with the Freikorps) that is lionised by right wing extremists.
Another team member, ‘CEO and Animator’ Jarosław Zieliński, has prominently displayed an endorsement on his public Facebook page of the Polska Liga Obrony: an established nationalist Islamophobic, anti-immigration hate group.
Despite using registered marks held by the ESRB and Epic’s Unreal Engine attempting to legitimize their project, there is no working relationship between the studio and either organization. In a statement provided to Gamespot, Epic Games stated that “the video is using the trademarked Unreal Engine 4 logo without permission from Epic, and we’ve asked for the removal of our logo from all marketing associated with this product.”
Journalists and commentators alike do the industry a disservice by obfuscating the developer’s racially charged political hate in deference to the otherwise well-trod issue of violence in games. In doing so, they are playing into the exact type of controversy its developers have sought to capitalize on.

Anyways, can't wait to play!
The main character's statements are what's really disturbing.
Instantly remind you of the shooting sprees that happen in real life.
Not very pleasant tbh
How is this a creative risk? "How about we make a game where the main character hates life and everyone in it and then kills innocent people". Creative indeed.

Guys get in here.. we have some things to discuss.
And all the military shooters don't remind you of all the deaths that are happening now?
Please GAF.

Who are you to judge one's creativity?

That's pretty indefensible.
Yet there will be a defense force.

Oh really? And how do you know they're innocent? Have you met these people? If you've ever murdered someone in a game and you didn't know if they were guilty for sure or just following orders, you're murdering innocent people too.How is this a creative risk? But technically it looks surprising solid. As some have mentioned, it's very impressive that the main character is lifting people up by their clothing and you can actually see the fabric stretching. That's not really something you'd expect to see in such a small indie game. I can't even really think of many AAA games that have that detail.

Well fuck . . . If true this would kill my interest.
The whole Neo-Nazi thing was debunked earlier in this thread.
Well that doesn't make the game seem fun to me. Gameplay is what I'm talking about and it looks pretty boring from that side. For me it's gameplay first, the visual style second, and I guess the graphic quality last. And the visual style (the dark gritty violent stuff) does not appeal to me so I guess I don't really see the appeal of how it looks graphically either.
He thinks they're guilty, who are you to disagree?Did you actually watch the trailer and the dialogue from the main character?
