Hatsune Miku Project Diva series general discussion thread

Mikudayo chillin' out on the couch. Looks very comfortable!

Sad that she doesn't get a guitar for Two Breaths Walking. :(

Guitars are expensive. They're afraid she might break it.

Total DLC Cost for F2nd:
500x5 - two songs
1500 - くつろぎウェア
800 - お着替えセット
2000 - スイムウェア
300 - Type 2020
300 - シャイニー
300 - MSJ
300 - Yellow
300 - Sexy Pudding
300 - Kaitou Blacktail

Total: 8600

This does not include the Additional Module Set (Haku/Neru/Teto), everything that has been free for 39 days, and Mikudayo (PS+). And AR Live songs.

I just noticed that F 2nd now has English descriptions for the trophies on PSN:

Macaroni, yum

Interestingly the first game had a different trophy set for the localized versions (which in turn had two separate trophy sets for each platform). Maybe this is a sign that the cross-save feature will be cross-region (god I hope for that so much).

I guess that mean shared trophy list for both versions.
i won't lie i was happy that i could get a plat in the japanese and EUR version.

Ah so I guess this confirms it then?

I plan on getting Plus next month for the Guilty Gear Xrd demo, so I guess I'll get this as well, is it going to be there only for a limited time?

Well since it seems no one wanted to buy it off me if anyone wants a free ticket to the LA Miku Expo on Saturday send me a PM. I'll just mail the ticket to you so it doesn't go to waste.

Going to Miku Expo NY tonight, I'm soooo hyped! I heard the LA show was quite awesome and I can expect to see some of mai waifu Megurine Luka there!

You know you have a problem when even though you already have the game for one system, you don't have the other and you have no money, you still want to buy the other version just in case you manage somehow to buy a Vita.

Anyway. To those unsure, buy the game! You won't regret it.

Just got back from the last NYC concert.

...Apparently New York really likes Kaito? People screamed particularly loud and brought out a sea of blue glowsticks for his one song.

Yeah I was really into that Kaito track when I went on Friday. Awesome show, only thing missing was some Worlds End Dancehall.

I was sad there was no Catfood. I really like the mix that was done in the Lady Gaga opener set and it would have been awesome to hear live.

I don't think they can even play that one with this stage setup - since it used the Magical Mirai widescreen, multi-projector format. It's going to be hard for us to get most of the newer songs unless they can justify bringing the widescreen projectors next time (and booking wider stages, too).

Also, they didn't bring the upper screen either! If you think about what they had to change because of this: Rakshasa gets played at floor-level, Gekishou gets cut completely (they can't do the flying without an upper screen), and Starduster gets cut short (can't bring everyone on stage at the end with just one screen).

Not complaining, though - they did a ton of work staging the new English songs and changing all the back projections.

I was really happy Kaito only got one song. He's awful.

Didn't they also turn on the fog machine at the wrong time? I think they projected Kaito into the fog for a good minute.

Wish I had gone to the NYC concert but I have no car, and no car-owning friend/relative who would be willing to drive 6 hours to the US to go see a singing anime girl projected to a glass panel.

MikuExpo 2014 still has one yet-to-be-revealed last venue, doesn't it? From what I can tell on the main page.

I know plenty of people who traveled similar distances via bus or train. NY isn't particularly hard to get to within a relatively wide radius, and it has a very robust subway system to the point everyone I know that lives in NY does not need to own a car.

It seemed like they were going to announce the next Miku Expo at the very end of the NY show but then it just went to the Thank You New York message.

Already got my money saved up for Project Diva f 2nd, pretty excited since I just got introduced to Miku Music Rhythm games earlier this year.

Can anyone with PDF2nd explain how the Edit PV system works? Specifically I got all excited thinking Chaining Intention had got in only to find it was an edit (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alSQbIUWo48) and would like to know if sharing/importing such an edit was still possible this time 'round. My googlefu failed me so I thought asking here would be my best bet.

Sharing of edit data is done over PSN since f/F. To import that edit you would need to know the PSN ID of the person who had shared it; in this case, it is in the video description. Some things to keep in mind: I don't think edits are compatible between f/F and F 2nd; edits made in f/F still need you to also have the associated MP3 from elsewhere; and the online edit library is region locked, with the three different regions the game is available in having completely separate edit ecosystems. (It's too early to say if F 2nd will also be like this.)

Or if you let a friend borrow the retail game, but bought the game again and the Vita version on PSN so that you would never be without the game again. Haha

Can't wait for F2 in the states!

Alright, thanks a lot. Was seconds from putting an order through for the JP version when I realised it was an edit so I reckon I'll go back and stick with that just to make sure.

Yeah. I took a coach bus with friends from Ontario, which was an 11hr ride.

I wonder if it'll be in the US again.

By any chance, did you go into the art exhibit and gift shop? If so, do you have any pics? I would love to see what they were showing off and had for sale. Thanks!

Nope, didn't go into the art exhibit, at the merch booth I picked up a chibi Luka doll and a chibi Rin doll (the latter for my girlfriend), and a Miku Expo t-shirt. But they didn't have too much on offer there.

After putting a handful of hours into Project Diva f for the Vita I have to say that I'm impressed. I downloaded the demo for the PS3 version last year and didn't really care much for it but playing it on a handheld just makes everything click for me.

The place was tiny - it was just one room at ground level and another room up some stairs. Downstairs was for exhibiting the posters on sale and upstairs was for selling them. Also on display was a bunch of merchandise in cases - software, figures, CDs.

This is an accurate list of what was on sale at Wallplay: http://mikuexpo.com/ny_goods

I got there less than an hour before the concert and had to run after five minutes, so no pictures here - but you can see just about everything with an image search.

Uggggggghhhhh! You guys are so lucky. I am so far away from New York. I wish the tour came to FL. I would kill to see Miku live and thanks for the merch link. I would of definitely bought one of those t-shirts.

Things have been really quiet lately on the JP front (besides a whole bunch of Arcade updates, which I guess I should start paying more attention to with Round1 expanding to Illinois and Texas) but we have news of the next wave of DLC in today's Weekly DIVA Station update. Everything below comes out on October 30:

Songs (500 yen each)
Yellow by kz(livetune):

YELLOW!

YES

Now to hope that the next DLC batch includes Rolling Girl. Also, wallet am cry whenever the DLC hits NA
