The fact that they're not specifying whether it's Diva or Mirai is intriguing. Maybe it's a whole new series.

Also, looking at the rest of their TGS lineup...
so many games they will never localize, lol

Saw this come across twitter. New (for Japan) Mirai:

More Teto is always welcome.

Stretching DLC out over a longer period is certainly different than how it was with F, but hopefully we will end up with more in the long run.

There is already more DLC-only content for F 2nd than there ever was for F (not counting the six extra songs that were on disc).

I wonder if the western version will get better (or worse) treatment.

There isn't exactly a pattern of missing DLC so far; the only DLC we did not get for F is the content involving Toro and Kuro, due to licensing difficulties.

Should have been more specific. Just looking at songs we got 7 songs as DLC for f (not F, oops) and we have 3 so far for f/F 2nd. 2nd has had more skins and modules probably but to me they don't have the same value as songs. Especially with tan/not tanned duplicates.
So how easy are Vita controls for Star notes coming from PS3?
I know a lot of people were complaining about how braindead they were, but it saved my hide a bunch of times.
Vita sticks in 2nd for star notes are my favorite. But I'd take sticks (vita or PS3) over touchscreen any day of the week.

They're... controversial.

In 2nd you do have the option to use PS3-style stick controls though (which was most likely done for Vita TV compatibility).

To be pedantic, there is no product named "f 2nd" - both the Vita and PS3 versions carry the F name.

I think it's more fair to compare F to F 2nd than it is to compare f to F 2nd; the name change to me strikes me as a statement of f being an early, incomplete release and not the complete product F later became, especially since the f name was completely dropped for the sequel.

I prefer the touchscreen over the analog sticks personally, but both have their issues; I've had phantom input issues using DS3 sticks and I've had double scratches get dropped occasionally on touchscreen (though the latter could be my screen protector causing issues).

At the very least you have customer support to complain to. Sega JP refuses to help me, saying that they only handle Japan (after all that effort to fill up their support form in Japanese), and Sega US gives me a reply that means nothing.

Though Sega UK told me that they have passed my question on to the relevant department but didn't receive any information about the matter yet.

Sucks being bounced about because of geographical reasons when talking about a digital product (DLC).

The naming sure is intuitive isn't it?

This reminds me when I turn note sounds on for star notes on PS3 I get double input for single swings all the time. I don't remember if I have done the same test on vita yet but it is aggravating. More so for PS3 I only play for fun not score because I cannot adjust to the controller at all (for reasons other than the sticks) but it is definitely a bit hokey there.

IIRC, each direction you hit with a single stick swing counts as an input, so hitting up+left and other diagonals gets you double inputs. Hitting a single direction cleanly should alleviate that.

I just noticed that F 2nd now has English descriptions for the trophies on PSN:
Macaroni, yum

Interestingly the first game had a different trophy set for the localized versions (which in turn had two separate trophy sets for each platform). Maybe this is a sign that the cross-save feature will be cross-region (god I hope for that so much).

I imagine the Mikudayo module must have constant clipping issues, due to the weird physical proportions. The Mikudayo head accessory alone was already pretty messy, but a whole Mikudayo body must be a whole new level of clip-city.

EDIT: Watching Fabthegnome's stream, yep. Her feet don't even stay correctly aligned with the ground due to lack of proper articulations, wow.

The way her arm movements are restricted due to lack of elbows is just too much.

lol

I wanted to stream this but unexpectedly had some business to take care of last night. (When moving a pop'n music machine from Japan to the US, do remember to turn off the shop close settings or the machine will randomly disable itself at an odd hour in the morning D: )
