Been playing Diva F for nearly 2 weeks now. Finally perfected everything on Hard, will probably try and do the same for some of my favourites on Extreme. Am I just terrible at button mashing, or are you supposed to alternate d-pad and face buttons for some of the really rapid parts? It was the only way I could survive the end of Senbonzakura, but I'm not keen on learning to do it regularly.
Incidentally, as someone with virtually no Vocaloid music experience before playing this, favourite songs from Diva F are DYE, Odds & Ends, Tell Your World and Tokyo Teddy Bear.
Wait what? You perfected all songs on Hard after only two weeks of playing the series for the first time??
Man some of you guys are really making me feel inadequate.
But I guess I have never been trying hard enough to do perfects. I just play one song then immediately switch to another without caring too much. I consider it a victory if I do an Excellent.
First bit: Yep, though as you've found out yourself, it's much more doable if you focus on a song rather than moving quickly onto the next one. I'm playing on PS3 so it might be different from Vita, but for difficult star note sections you can just go batshit crazy on the analogue sticks without losing the combo. You can't get anything worse than a Good for star notes providing you hit them, at least not on Diva F.Wait what? EDIT: HOLY SHIT I saw in another thread that you perfected Extreme Secret Police. I had already given up on even passing it, I just get murdered as soon as it gets fast.
This is not true for F 2nd.I'm playing on PS3 so it might be different from Vita, but for difficult star note sections you can just go batshit crazy on the analogue sticks without losing the combo. You can't get anything worse than a Good for star notes providing you hit them, at least not on Diva F.
So just signed up for Spotify, any recommend Miku albums available there?

Edit bit: Hell no! That was just an image I took from YT as an example of something satisfying (the Japanese text is the giveaway). I've only tried to perfect one song on Extreme so far - DYE, which was about as difficult to do as a mid-upper tier Hard song. I'll try some of my other favourites along with starting Diva F 2nd at some stage, but I'm back at work now so my free time's pretty limited.
Most vocaloid song are indies. If you want to download several vocaloid song, i recommend making a piapro and nico2 account. The song creator usually provide the instrumental or the full song there. Most of them are free.
Really? Last time I checked they were mostly bad covers and Just Be Friends.

Looks like fun, might have to grab this. Is there any reason I wouldn't enjoy it just as much as Diva f/f 2nd?
So, I'm on the verge of ordering a copy of Project DIVA 2nd for the PSP (for free thanks to some saved up store credit)...but I keep seeing people mention that Extend is basically an improved version of it. Just how different or alike are they? Is there a significant difference in the song list? Is it worth owning both? I only have enough credit to get 2nd for free, Extend would cost me a bit extra.
I don't own any Project DIVA games yet, but I've played all of the demos out there for PSP and PS3 quite a bit, and I loved them.
This would be my first full Project DIVA game...but not my first rhythm game, though. I have a quite a few others. Both Parappa the Rapper games, Um Jammer Lammy, Amplitude, Guitar Hero II/III/World Tour/5/Metallica, Rock Band 1/2/3/Blitz/Unplugged/Lego/Beatles/Green Day, and Elite Beat Agents. I love all of them.
So just signed up for Spotify, any recommend Miku albums available there?
I just placed my order. The estimate says that I should have it here by Thursday. Can't wait!![]()
That was fast alright. Hopefully the codes work! Oh, and needless to say, enjoy the game!
Also, good thing it was 2nd# the version you. It fixes some bugs and the like, supposedly
The code will only work on a JP PSN account, though it is possible the code has expired by now if it has not been used. The code didn't work. Oh, well. Not a big deal. They're just costumes. I came for the gameplay, which I'm having a lot of fun with so far, even if it's been kicking my ass quite thoroughly. Hah.
What differences are in the 2nd# version? I tried looking up info after I noticed it on the case, but I didn't really find anything besides that it fixed bugs...though it didn't mention what bugs.. I also saw someone mention something about the gameplay being more like Extend's, but I have no idea if that's true.
Yeah, I know it only works with a Japanese account. It is a Japanese game, after all. Hah. I've had three PSN accounts (Japan, Europe, America) since at least late 2008.The code will only work on a JP PSN account, though it is possible the code has expired by now if it has not been used.
Pretty sure the only differences are in the way it loads DLC.
That's debatable. Dat song doe. I love melody... One of my fave songs. This is just making me miss the best DLC costume.
I feel like I'm going to regret not getting the module season pass.
Is there a reason why the Magnet modules are shown in the screenshots but aren't in the list of modules?
The 10% PSN coupon code this weekend would get you Costume Club for $63. Still quite a lot, though.
DAMMIT. My walleeeet. ;_; SEGA pls.
Rosary Pale
Colorful x Sexy or Hoshikuzu Utopia please.Wait, a song from Arcade??
I was just thinking today that it would be impossible for them to have a DLC Kaito song because every Kaito song in the console games is already in F or F 2nd. So... porting from Arcade was clearly the only option.
This opens up a whole pool of possibilities... but going by the numbers Sega provided there are maybe 2-3 DLC songs left.
