Hatsune Miku Project Diva series general discussion thread

Was just shown this:

Not sure if shop.

(For those that can't read, this screen seems to show Black Rock Shooter in the song list.)

So with the Vita Memory card thing, how many songs does this game have?
Since unles I buy another Card, DLC is a no go.

I think we're confirmed at 32 songs in the base game.

Just got my order confirmation at AmiAmi for the game + accessory set. I should probably look into backing up my Vita since I have to switch to JP PSN for a while...

This is my first time dealing with an import on Vita/PS3/PSN/whatever.

To download any DLC I'll need another card and a Japanese PSN account?

So Ami Ami ships to the US?
Did not know this.

Yup. Takes about a week via EMS to California.

Could anyone point me in a direction or teach me how to do the card switching thing? The last time I tried it the Vita put my NA PSN account onto the 2nd memory card that I was going to use for my JPN PSN account. @_@

This wasn't a problem before 1.8 because memory cards weren't locked to PSN accounts. ughhhh

You have to reformat the Vita system memory to remove the PSN account association, so I'd just power off if you haven't done so, remove the memory card from the Vita entirely, then reformat and go through the initial setup again all with no memory card in the unit. Once you're tied to a JP PSN account, then I'd go ahead and insert the one you have set aside for it.

Got an email from Play Asia saying that my copy of Project Diva f has shipped!

Now I feel a little guilty that I've barely touched the Project Diva 2nd UMD that's been sitting in my unused PSP for the last six months, and never even got around to importing Project Diva Extend. >_< Oh well, onward Vita!

Damn, that's annoying. But whatever.

Soooo annoying. Sigh.

Paid off my AmiAmi order. Now to await shipping.

Sorry if this has been answered already but is there a release date for Dreamy Theatre Extend yet? All I can find is a vague "Summer 2012" release.

Also, Family Mart in Japan are doing some kind of Miku promotion where you can win Miku related goods including a scooter and other assorted tat if you spend over 500 yen on Miku themed snacks.

I was too weak to resist.

Absolutely nothing has been said about Dreamy Theater extend since it was announced. With promotion for Project DIVA f in full swing I wouldn't expect to hear anything for a few more weeks either.

I'm oh so close to pulling the trigger.
I have the Play Asia page open and just need to confirm (AmiAmi was sold out)

EDIT: Watched the trailer and BOUGHT.

One of us, one of us...

While I've never listened to much of Hitsune, I've always been intrigued.
Not to mention I'm really hankering for portable Music Games after playing Theatrhythm.

With that said what are some songs I should go and listen to?

My copy shipped too. Will have it tomorrow or Thursday. It's weird that I would go for a rhythm game over a fighting game (Aquapazza PS3), but there you go.

Hope this game is good and lots of wacky, stupid fun can be had with the AR features!

Now that the game is out , maybe we'll see if they planned to dlc this game to the death or not very soon ...

Just got an email from NCS stating they -might- be able to get some Miku Vita bundles in on Friday. They're apparently attempting to import the version from Hong Kong rather than the Japanese one. They don't have pricing details (or even if they'll offer them for general sale or just for the people who asked them about it). Not sure if I'm in for one anymore but I'll see how much they will price it at, at least.

I'm severely behind on Weekly Diva Station updates and figured I should take this time to catch up while people are waiting for their copies to arrive...

8/24: Project DIVA Arcade modules, continuing to bring over designs from extend.

Also, some new details on the game's edit system. As expected, a lot more customization is possible now. (I hope this means you can create denser note patterns now too!) Click through to the article for more.

I have the game in-hand and will post impressions later.

I ordered from Play-Asia and used FedEx, so anyone else who did the same should be seeing their copies very, very soon.

Update: I've just been quoted $689 for this.

...

Before I respond to this, anyone here still want one?

Only had time to play the tutorial and one song so far, but my impressions are below. Sorry if some of this is stuff you all knew already, but I haven't really looked at any previews.

+ Gorgeous. Reminds me of Dreamy Theater, only portable.
+ The "star swipes" are a lot of fun, and their timing is fairly loose.
+ I like the new HUD; it gives more information and isn't obnoxious.
+ I love the jagged judgments that appear when your timing is good but you hit the wrong button. (Think you're "COOL," huh? Well you would have been, but NOAP!)

- Not 60fps. Sigh...
- Timing feels pretty early; I felt like I had to press very late to find the COOL window. (I thought extend's timing was pretty much dead on.) I haven't looked in the Options menu yet.
- All of my Vita's networking features are disabled when I run the game. My suspicion is that this is because my active PSN account is North American. I'll try again with a Japanese account later.

This is a common battery saving function and most likely has nothing to do with the attached PSN account. Gravity Rush does the exact same thing.

Ironic: While keeping the game running, I hit the PS button to drop to the dashboard, or whatever it's called, expecting it to go to sleep after a few minutes like usual. It didn't, and ran its battery completely dry.

I don't get it...
