Hatsune Miku Project Diva series general discussion thread

This is well documented at this point, but just be warned that while you can play the imported card on any region PSN account, if you're not on a Japanese PSN account you will not be able to make use of the game's DLC or data sharing functions. I believe the process to switch accounts is outlined in the first post of the monthly Vita PSN thread, but in a nutshell it requires a system reset and you have to either wipe your memory card (after having made a backup before starting the process) or use a second one.

Then I suppose a second card is needed for miku DLC and PSO2. Is 8 gigs enough for the two of them? Also what's the best way to buy points for the Japanese PSN?

Fully updated PSO2 is currently ~5141MB (and growing) and fully updated/DLC Miku is ~3742MB. It wouldn't be enough space if you have the download version of Miku, but if you have the physical version, it is probably fine (for now).

Pretty unlikely at this point. Half of the people on the facebook campaign specifically asked for the Vita port and they ignored them. Sega has a pretty bad track record at supporting Sony handhelds outside Japan. PSO2 is also only getting its PC version localized while the Vita version is left out in the cold.

Basically, if it doesn't have Sonic in it then forget it (they released that mario kart clone and that's pretty much it)

  • Expecting the people that update the Facebook to be able to respond to platform requests and taking their silence as a denial is sort of a leap. Be reasonable.
  • On the same token, nothing has been said about PSO2 lately, PC or Vita. And what does this have to do with anything?
This schtick of yours is getting rather tiring. You've already said what you think, no need to repeat it ad nauseum.

I guess so. Wasn't it good for quite a while for the retail version and something like 30 days for the PSN version?

The promo was 39 days for the digital version and an unknown number of days for the physical - though we know the codes for Tell Your World are still good for a couple more years, they haven't said anything about how long they will offer the other five songs at a discount.

Ah, I think I know what the problem is. You should have gotten "Tell Your World" for free. The pack you're trying to buy has all six new songs (incl. "Tell Your World"), but since you already have that one song, it's blocking you from buying it. There should be another pack with just five songs, this is the one you have to buy. I don't know how to type Japanese, so I can't give you the exact name of that pack, but it's listed with all the other Project Diva f DLC (at least on PS3).

Edit: Copied the name from the official site, it's "追加楽曲セット"

Okay, so I looked up 追加楽曲 on the store and found two PSP Project Diva DLC packs, and at the bottom of the search was the same set of 6 songs. There was no set of 5. Also, I don't have access to "Tell Your World," don't see it anywhere listed under the search for Project Diva. I'm really not sure what's going on :/

Did you use the product code included with DIVA F? That should have placed Tell Your World in your download history.

I registered the product code that was behind the disc and I can see it in my list of registered codes on my PSN account. Is there supposed to be another code though?

No, that's it. Using that code gives you Tell Your World to download, which you should be able to do now, no purchase necessary. It also changes your eligibility for purchasing so you can purchase a 1500 yen pack that contains the other five songs, and blocks your ability to purchase the comprehensive pack because Tell Your World is part of it.

Well I just realized there was a product update available for Diva -f- to bring it up to 1.0.1. So I'm installing that now and will see if Tell Your World appears in my account or if I'm then able to view the DLC.

Hah! Found it! Searching was unhelpful, so I went back to the store homepage and decided to go to Games -> DLC -> Project Diva -f- and found everything listed in there. No clue why they don't turn up when you search "Diva," but I was able to find them. Got Tell Your World and found the 1,500 JPY pack. Thanks for the help!

I looked inside my PDF cover and it has the date 31 August 2015, I can't read most of the text around it but I assume it's the deadline for the rebate. So yeah there's still plenty of time left (for the retail version at least).

I personally haven't bothered redeeming my code since I don't play the Vita version on my Japanese account anyway. But good to know there's still a lot of time left in case I ever want to get that rebate.

For what's it's worth, my DIVA f bubble (attached to the retail game, so just save+all available DLC) is 859mb.

6/26 Weekly Diva Station update: we have a new promotional video for Project mirai 2 (title still tentative)! Check it out!

GUMI had a short cameo last game but it looks like she's in this one from the start!

And another song announcement: いーあるふぁんくらぶ

That GUMI song is really addicting..might make use of Mirai's swapping ability to have GUMI sing all the songs with the weird voice Miku has in those games.

Possibly old news: The Weiss Schwarz (Weiß Schwarz) Project Diva TCG set is coming to the US in English! In November! Featuring 'signed' (rare printed signature) versions from her VA. Trial Deck should be around $20 shipped.

(is there a GAF TCG topic I can't find?)

Just imported a copy of Project Diva f. Only have one memory card so I'm not even going to attempt to set up a JP account for the DLC at this point.

Still hoping that a localized version of this or the sequel appears in the future but in the meantime I needed a good music game so I'm glad I got this. I've only played a couple of songs so far but it's definitely one of the better Vita games I've played in terms of polish and gameplay.

Can anyone link me to a good English guide?

A TCG?! I didn't know that, I must find a way to import it to Europe.

It's actually available in certain European shops I believe, though you'd want to call and make sure before making the trek over: http://ws-tcg.com/en/shops/#UK
I made a topic for it here, first post still available.
She'll be available in both Trial Deck form, as well as Boosters. Miku's set is also unique in that every booster box comes with a 'Signed' card, versus the usually rare odds. Miku's set is out in November. (not sure about EU date)

Sorry I've been absent for a while.

I'm just gonna say that Project Mirai 2 will likely consume my soul. I'm so hyped for that.

I have this uncontrollable urge to buy a Mikudayo figure. What is the best place to order figures like this from? I know Play-Asia has them but they're usually not the best place in terms of pricing.

Going to stream Project mirai for just a few minutes before bed. Not sure why, just felt like it.

I haven't fixed the camera issues since the last time I attempted a webcam-only stream, unfortunately, so it's going to be a bit blurry.

EDIT: That was a really short one, on account of the video quality being even worse than expected. If you want to see it anyway (it's terrible in both quality and how well I played), the recording is here: http://www.twitch.tv/starcreator/b/434998025

There's actually quite a bit of Project mirai 2 stuff on Weekly Diva Station, but I'm too busy/lazy to copy it here right now.

Going to GameStop to reserve it was almost worth it after hearing the guy at the register attempt to pronounce "Hatsune" aloud (and yes, you have to have them search for it by Hatsune Miku first because their database is sorted by first letter).

Hat soon.

GameStop bonuses almost invariably require an in-store reservation. You also have to pick up your reserved title quickly as the DLC code isn't pulled from their master database until your receipt is printed; if you delay, it's possible for their database to run out of codes.

I preorder at brick and mortar just to be safe.

Intending to keep this thread going for JP version news, which doesn't really belong in the NA/EU focused OT. I'm horribly behind at this point though, but I can't really catch up efficiently while on a plane.

Over the weekend, on 8/29, the Family Mart module (originally a store exclusive) was made available for general sale, as promised months ago. Pick it up for 200 yen.

Thanks - I knew I had some spare Yen tucked away on my account for a reason ^_^
