Played the demo for a bit, looks pretty good. Was surprised to see you can get safes on star notes now.
EDIT: oh god I was not prepared for high speed and shy target at the same time
Sounds fun

tomorrow :3

I'm going to bed before this finishes uploading, but I recorded a quick gameplay video here: http://youtu.be/dpPATTyVawA
This was recorded totally blind; I hadn't tried any of the charts beforehand. Also, combining High Speed and Shy Target on the fastest song of the three was probably not the best of ideas...
Just played the demo. Not too bad. Wasn't as exciting since 3 out of the 4 songs were ones we've seen before.
Miku's all like FUCK YEAH
I took delivery of the new Mitchie M album today, which includes the theme song to Project Mirai 2 by Mitchie M. Some of the tunes are *ridiculously* catchy!

That's some fine cover work, What is that with the CD? A vinyl? or is it a book or sorts?

I'm hearing we now have a date for Project DIVA F 2nd per gaming magazine leaks. We're on for March 6, 2014, at 7350 yen. Unclear if this applies to the PS3 version, Vita version, or both.

How is the frame rate for the Demo? Any better than the first?
ugh fuck this thread is reminding me that i need to bust open my copy of project diva f, i had a lot of fun with the demo even if vocaloid doesn't do anything for me
anyways, i'm pretty much always looking for good stuff to play on my jp 3ds, would project mirai appeal to me if i dig project diva (or really any rhythm game) but i'm not a big vocaloid person (although maybe that's a tricky question to answer, ahaha)
Whelp a new digest video posted that pushed me over the edge. I'm doubledipping Mirai 2. I got the physical with puchi coming, but I ended up also getting it digitally . . . Downloading as we speak.
I MEAN WE GET PUYOPUYO39? BEST VERSION OF PUYOPUYO EVER?
Mirai 2 >> everything.
This game is so damn good.
Favorite songs:
- Invisible
- Shinkaijou
- Doubutsu Uranai
- Amatsukitsune
- Clover Club
- Kokoro
- Romeo & Cinderella
- Eearr Fan Club
Straight hits.
So far I've cleared everything except for 4 of the highest difficulty songs, these look really hard. Namely Matroishka, Invisible, Hello/Hawayu and glow. So goddamn tough, and no rhythm game items to save you like the Diva series.
This will never be localized, will it?
sogood TPB.
Is that Hatsune Miku skin part of the casing or the 3DS?
It's a clear shell, two pieces of rubbery plastic. My JP 3DS is a Tomodachi Collection model, which blends quite nicely, I think:
God damn, I need a Japanese 3ds, and I still want to get the Project Diva F huge controller. I think the latter is going to be my priority in prep for the next game coming soon.
So on a whim, I downloaded the Project Diva F demo on PS3. I'd only heard of the series in passing, and just vaguely knew it was a music game. I loved it. I'm a sucker for pretty much any music game.
So I was wondering, where do I start with this series? I see there's games on PSP, 3DS, iOS, Vita, PS3. What titles should I get? I have everything except a Japanese 3DS, so I assume that one's out. Music games tend to overlap/reuse songs so is there ones I should avoid, etc.
Also are there male characters? I don't care too much for the whole dress-up business.
I'm not sure what that last potshot is about... There's Len and KAITO as far as male characters go but most songs are going to be Miku's considering the series bears her name. Any character customization is completely optional and in most cases only affects background visuals; Project mirai (3DS) has some songs that switch vocals based on chosen character but this is not something done for the other games.
Project DIVA F for PS3 (and f for Vita coming to NA/EU in early 2014 - they're pretty much the same game) is the fourth entry in the series and as good a starting point as any. The previous three entries were on PSP, with optional DLC expansions on PS3 (you have to own both for them to work) and are Japan-only.
The iOS entries are kind of a different beast and I'm not sure I could recommend them for people who don't know some Japanese; the lyric-based input doesn't make for a very fun game without some written Japanese knowledge.
It wasn't a potshot, I have no idea about this series. I just found it weird that in the demo it was all girls and there was a customize option. I'm used to DJ MAX and DDR where there's a balance between male/female/no vocals.
My Japanese isn't great, but I could probably handle the PSP versions. Or are the PS3/PSV versions just better altogether and I should just start there?
EDIT: Oh, so there's no difference between the PS3 and Vita version? I should just grab the PS3 version now then?
