Quick Weekly Diva Station update: Project DIVA F 2nd has been delayed. Originally scheduled for 3/6, it will now be released on 3/27. But cheer up, here's a new video!
No my birthday! D:
I think there are a total of 40 songs. Don't know off the top of my head how many of those 40 are brand new songs vs. songs returning from previous games, but even returning songs have retooled charts and visuals.I still need to pre-order this, the thought of dropping $70 hurts though.
Do we know how many new songs there are?

For DIVA f on VITA? We're working on it, it just takes time. Why not till March, Sega of America? Sigh.
Well, at least I can play through Extend again while I wait...
Well, I would like to see Ame no Sweet Drops make a return, personally...So there's only a handful of songs left to be revealed, right?
How crappy would it be if they were to announce that all of the remaining ones are all just returning songs from the previous game?
I kid. I kid.
Anyway there better be some Mitchie M songs in there, it's almost criminal that there aren't any so far.
They've announced 32 out of 40. 16 are new, 16 are returning/revamped from the PSP games. So it's 50/50 so far, which I think is a decent ratio. So there's only a handful of songs left to be revealed, right?

Sorry I misunderstood you. I'm pretty certain they're not gonna include songs that were in the previous Vita game. It actually works better for them if there is no overlap, because they are more likely to sell copies of the previous game to series first-timers.My point was that all returning songs so far are "enhanced" remakes of the PSP games, so they're not straight up rehashes. We haven't had copy-pasted songs from F so far.
So has there been any rumors of a new special edition Hatsune Miku Vita 2000 to be released alongside F 2nd?

Still vague but we have a month now.
"Debuts" on PS Vita... How cute considering Japan gets the sequel on the same month...
From how they're talking about it on the Blog it looks like they're still going to charge us DLC for the Extra songs even though they gave us the PS3 version first. Wow, that's pretty crappy of them.
Another weird tidbit: it will have separate trophies from the PS3 version, which is strange because the Japanese version definitely had a single dual-platform set.
So I've been thinking about getting Project DIVA f for the PS3, I've played the demo a few dozen times over at this point and I am found wanting of this product. Are any stores carrying it, or is this only available through Amazon or Digital Download? I can't seem to find it anywhere in stores.
GameStop was the only national retailer to carry the game, and they failed to order enough copies to meet demand; almost everywhere stores only got enough copies to fulfill preorders. I had gathered as many retailer links as I could in the old OT; on a quick check, Frys seems to still show it as in stock.

The reason Project DIva F2 for Vita has been delayed is that SEGA is now shooting for native res
(They didn't promise anything but openly stated they are trying).
Quoting myself here. Hope DIva f2 turns out to be native res.
Hey, I'm picking up a PS3 this Friday, first purchase will be digital Project Diva F, but I was wondering if Dreamy Theater 2nd is worth picking up, or if I can even use it...
What is ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED to get Dreamy Theater 2nd to work, software/hardware wise? Can I use a PSP that has Project Diva 1st/2nd loaded on the mem stick, or do I need to make sure the original UMD is in the drive? Let me know what I need (Other than obviously a JP PSN account + JP PSN Yen card.)

Really they should note on the box what resolution the game runs at, like home console games.
That's not how it works, what is listed on home console game boxes is the effective resolution that is output to the screen, not the resolution of the game's display buffer. The point of displaying that data is so the consumer can know that it will be compatible with their TV. On a portable system there is no concept of different resolutions at a hardware level.
A game that supports 1080p output but is obviously upscaled, will still list 1080p on the box.
Well the intent of the label may be for TV compatibility but it is also (perhaps unintentionally) a description of the game's visual fidelity.
I am less familiar on the Xbox side of things (where everything can be upscaled to 1080...I think) but on PS3 if it only says 720 on the box that is all it is going to put out, ever. Even if the TV is 1080.
On the Vita there are games rendered and displayed at native resolution, and there are games less than that. I just rather that be advertised officially on the product itself, then to have to read impressions on message boards to figure that out.

Also, playing Dreamy Theater for the first time now will only make you sad that the current games aren't 60 FPS. Best to just forget it.
Second question :
I might as well JUST get Dreamy Theatre 2nd, since it has all the content, AND from what I understand, only requires a PSP to be connected the first time (And to unlock new modules if you haven't done so already), is that correct?
Also I have Project Diva 1st and 2nd, do I need save data from both to unlock everything?
I have both PSP games, that's not an issue, I was just wondering if it was worth getting the original Dreamy Theatre, or just DT 2nd...
There's a banner on the official DT pagereportedly a Vita will work but this is not officially supported
My brother finally done it. I'm very impressed. Rin Chan Now, Sadistic Music Factory and Negaposi Continues were absolutely crazy.
Arifureta Sekai Seifuku
- Nearly there with this one, just need a little more practice.
Gaikotsushudan to Lilia
- Still seems impossible to me lol.
Melancholic
- This one just has some tricky triplets in the middle that I need to figure out then it'll be no problem.
Kimi no Taion
- Fast but doable I think.
Glow
- Has a weird d-pad/button combination section towards the end but I think I can do it.
Invisible
- Impossible tier.
Matroishka
- See above.
1925
- Has some slightly tricky double inputs, but should be doable with enough practice.
Hello/How are you
- Has some really complicated button change-ups. Seems really hard.
Ageage Again
- All the d-pad work in this one looks complicated, but I think I'll get it eventually.
