I'm trying to get in touch with someone who has managed a porn website at some point, or is familiar with the setup/legalities of these things. One of my friends wants to do it and I can help him out with the video/streaming and images, but my knowledge of the management side is nil. :/

I disagree. Go to local malls all across the country with $500. Find hot young-looking girls. Show them the money, get them to prove they're 18. You only need like 2 successes a week to run a successful site.

Well, in truth, it's my high school friend's roomate who has a friend in San Diego that was her old high school flame that suddenly got into the editing side of the biz when he was desperate for a job. It's made him tons of cash since then, but he admits his not going to use it on his resume

I can't remember that big humongous guy they had on the vid, Big Bob or something or whatever. He showed me the DVD series he was working on for this guy and showed me the cover. I haven't spoke to him for a while, but the spine of the DVD was supposed to have a spread of him that combines into a single pic when you have the DVD's laying side by side. It was a little scary for a while when my friend told me how -- when she exclaimed that "Big Bob" made her laugh with all his "sexual endurance handicap" -- that he wanted to meet her for a possible video opportunity.

Apparently Bait Bus, Bang Bus, and a few other sites are all owned by the same person or consider eachother sister/brother sites. There was one site he was working on that I thought would never work (I don't think the idea panned out), but it was about Neo-Nazis Banging African Queens or something. I have a friend of mine that tried to do a porno site. He wanted me to help but I declined. I already had a touch of 'adult' online stuff and didn't want to get involved in another venture. Anyway, the site actually is doing pretty good. Getting the girls and providing a good product is the biggest hurdle. Meaning, spend some big bucks to get a damned good camera and get some good looking chicks on the site. Getting big name talent is surprisingly cheap, especially if they are in or near your town or touring. Get a couple of footage of a couple of big names at launch to get some subscribers. Escorts are also a good source of talent, especially around the 1st and 15th, if you know what I mean.

Lastly, you don't have to be too different or different at all. Doing the same shit everyone else does works. When my buddy tried to put a new angle on the site, subscribers went down big time. Now that I think about it....I might have to start me a porno site.
