Matt Ruff, the author of the book, wrote a couple of lines about the show on his blog. Nothing new or interesting, but I found this part funny to read: "Two days ago I got word that HBO had picked up the show and ordered a full series."

Two days ago! A whole day before it was confirmed to the rest of the world. Kinda crazy (but nothing out of the ordinary, I guess).

I had totally forgotten that Matt Ruff also wrote Bad Monkeys and The Mirage. He seems like a cool guy
