Helldivers 2 |OT| Another bug infested game

Down to the last page of the Halo crossover. Outside of nostalgia, do not prioritize it. Talking about the new players who just started playing. It's one of the weaker warbonds. It's also the only one that doesn't give you any super credits back. Also of note, do not waste your time with super store armor really at this point. Instead work through the early game warbond getting stuff stacking super credits. That's unless your planning on buying everything with real money.
New players should prioritize the warbond with the eruptor, crossbowl, adjudicator and best granade in the game.

Then the cutting edge one, the blitzer and sickle are powerful enough and have infinite ammo, great for noobs (blitzer is good even for pros).

Thus far my experience with joining random groups have been a lot more misses than hits. No problem, I thought, I'll just host my own games so I can control if any toxic griefers join in. So I…

  • Made sure my NAT was open.
  • Made sure matchmaking was set to public.
  • Made sure I was doing missions in heavily populated sectors.
  • Dropped SOS beacons at the start of every mission.

… and I haven't gotten a single person joining. I've tried on difficulty levels 5 and 6, 6 being the highest I've been able to unlock so far.

I'm just a noob but any idea why people aren't joining? Am I missing a setting somewhere?
You must be very unlucly because i have like 250 hours with the game and the majority of people don't even use mics and the few who use it are usually chill, never hosted a game once, always joined someone else.

I may have encountered like 3 jackasses total that killed me for no reason but never one talking shit.

Yesterday i mistakenly fucked my entire squad over, and we were just laughing, and when i say fucked up i really mean it (summoning a tesla turret on us because i thought it was the fixed gun emplacement and killed everyone moments before the end of the mission, killed the entire squad so no samples, we did the objectives so at least we didn't completely failed.

And a couple of matches after, a dude attached a granade into the airplane and while i was entering it exploded in my face and killed me so i wasn't able to return home with the others, we called the incident "gymwolf get a full facial", we were dying of laughter :lollipop_squinting:

All with random people.

This is one of the few games where mistakes usually end up in laughs.

Tried super credit farming with a group of random for the first time yesterday and...it's super easy and fast :messenger_open_mouth:

Bought 2 new warbonds thanks to that.

Oooooh! how do I do that please mate?
Go into the insect sector, chose the desertic planet with no obstacles, put on level 1, search for matches, enter when you see a room with high level players, they are 100% farming, further proof is that you are gonna see the other people loadout being a car, the robot and a jumping backpack and no weapons or other stratagems.

When you enter the game just equip the car or the jet pack, the squad perk that improve the sonar, the fuxia fluo g-string and use a light armour to move faster.

Don't do objectvies or pick samples, you are not gonna end the mission, the host is just gonna close and start a mission so you don't have to anything other than roaming the map.

That way if you are lucky you get a mountain of medals and super credits, even without luck you still get a ton.

If you have the warping backpack you can even enter bunkers for 2 people alone, if you don't have it, call someone in chat to get help.

Every mission take about 4-5 min, map is small so you explore super fast.

Does doing this solo still work? Used to be able to find a good map layout with 2 or 3 super credits nearby then quit game mid map, load game up and the map layout would still be same. Repeat. I farmed enough credits for like 5 or 6 future warbonds that way before I stopped playing.

It work but you need the warping backpack to maximize your findings.

And it is obviously slower alone.

Literally no reason to not join a random squad, you don't even need to talk.

Yeah the way you mentioned above sounds like "the way". I gotta get that warping backpack if/when I play again.

** Screenshotted** I'm one the OG players. I haven't played for around 5 months. I'm basically a newbie again. 😅

I aint never seen so much rage quitting in this game lol. This cave update got people feeling some type of way. Especially on the higher difficulties in the cave on certain missions.

Just found a 100 super credit lootable, feels pretty good:messenger_smiling:
And a second one...what?:messenger_open_mouth:

They must have fucked up the release ratio, 2 in 2 hours, before that, one time in 240 hours...

Right now getting medals i harder than getting super credits :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

man, those Dragon Roaches are no joke. the acid/fire breath AOE is so big and they keep spawning after killing one. really need to figure out the best and fastest way to deal with them.

I've got 5k super credits. Anyone suggest a certain one? I have the first 4 already. I usually like something meta or OP or a shotgun.

If you get the Control Group warbond, you get the warp pack that is good for flanking and enables you to solo farm super credits. Might be worth it if you're into farming.

In ways the update is good and in other ways it's awful. Cave is not the best in design imo, too many things to get stuck in. Bodies clogging and not disappearing in a timely manner. Objectives not working which means you will auto fail but at times you don't even realize it til you've done most of the map. Things like Dragon Roach being silent for no reason at all. Plenty of other things that I can't think of as of this post but have been putting a damper on the experience including the ongoing performance issues and crashes. Both in which will never be resolved because of this magical shitty engine. For the record ive said in the past that I don't think AH is actually able to properly test their game at higher levels.

My goodness im getting infinite quick respawns of the dragon roach lol smh.

Quick first impressions of the new warbond in terms of the AR-2 Coyote and the armor.

AR-2 Coyote: In terms of ARs, this is S-tier. I mean straight to the top of ARs(which was a low bar to say but it's really good still). At least on bugs. It was made to kill the new bugs and does it really fast packing medium pen and lighting them on fire. I only testing on bugs so far on the new planet.

Desert Stormer Armor: It's pretty decent. It would have made me a little more happier if the resistance was like 60% across the board lol but whatever. There's a range increase on throwing on top of that. Again, overall pretty decent. I like the look of them visually. More so the medium and heavy. Light armor(which is in the super store) not so much.

They appear randomly in the Points of Interest of every map, I'd bet independently of the difficulty. The amount is also pretty random, but obviously with the highest one (100SC as I remember) being les frequent.

You can identify points of interest faster in a map moving the cursor in the map, because it shows a notification when you hover a point of interest (so you can put a marker to go there).

In 240 hours you or -I assume in most cases- a team mate must have gotten 100SC many times.

Putting this game in the backburner. Net code is awful right now and it crashes every 4 games or so making it a frustrating experience. Once again great concept limited by budget/ team / fucking outdated game engine.

Was playing with 2 friends last night, we kept getting crashes fighting the clankers. Hope that shit gets fixed soon.

I bought the new one, dust devils, this morning. The new assault rifle is definitely top tier. 75 damage incendiary rounds with medium penetration, and 9 magazines with 45 rounds. Outright good against every faction. Closest thing to a drawback is vertical recoil, but you get the vertical foregrip at weapon level 6.

Word hope you have fun. I already quit again. I hate the visibility in this game, don't care if it increases challenge, game is hard enough for me. Game is way too hard on my old eyes.

What's going on on Oshaune is just so horribly designed. It's just so bad.🤦‍♂️ And then you add debuffs.

As you've probably noticed by now, the effect area extending beyond the visual flames is a big pain in the ass. On the flip side, good, ol' reliable Railcannon Strike is great at taking out Roaches. ... Although their spawn rate is a little higher than the CD on the attack, so you really need a couple people in the squad bringing them (and availability of strategem slots is not such a big issue on Oshaune, for better and for worse).

Yeah, Coyote's straight to S-tier. It's literally just a better Lib Pen - matching or beating it in every stat except vertical recoil, which can be largely mitigated with later customization, and the Lib Pen had been the best all-around AR. Incendiary rounds put it head and shoulders above the competition. Spray & pray is a legit strategy for crowd control, and I've been melting Bile Spewers with this thing too (which wasn't so easy with even a solid SMG). It's not just a great AR; it's a great primary period.

Aside: The only other assault rifles I've used recently are the Lib Concussive and Pacifier on bug missions with predator strain because crowd control for Predator Stalkers is absolutely essential.

I don't wanna sound whiny, but with the new insects, even level 7 feels way harder than old level 10 in the new planet :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

Big worm is way too disruptive to have such a large hp pool, it should have like 2-3 times the health of a bile titan, not 10 times that.

Just unlocked the coyote that is supposedly a beast against insects...

Yep, railcannon strat kills the dragons in one hit, people probably forgot it even exist.

Too bad you have 3-4 of them at the same time even on level 7:lollipop_grinning_sweat:

This game should have some kind of initial path for new players, a few friends got the game and don't understand what missions they should do first, they can't see a clear path. It looks like everything is there just to be there.

Anyone wanting to farm solo without the warp pack.

Unfortunately the new insects are actually broken.

Hosts are on ultra hard mode.

If you are talking about the multistage main objectives, surely that are self explanatory. You need the launch codes before you can launch the ICBM, you need to get hardrive before you can upload its data, you need to turn the power on before you do the thing that needs power.

I mean to decide which sector, planets and missions to do first when you start the game, there is no path.

Oh I see, pick which factions you want to fight, go to the planet with the most players (this planet, most of the time, will contribute the most to the galactic war), play missions in any order you want just finish the operation to max contribution.

yeah, the Major Order is just the one that'll give the most medals. for example, if a MO requires the killing of a billion bugs over 7 days, as long as you had killed some bugs during those 7 days, you'll get the medals at the end. otherwise, play whatever you like, wherever you like on the galactic map that's available.

The new update seems more annoying than challenging. Dragonroach is a Bile Titan that's faster, can't ever miss, and is immune to 99% of the stratagems in the game. The new rupture enemies are just a vibe check on shooting things at best, loadout check at worst. Caves are conceptually good, but as implemented are uninteresting.

I feel the cave and most of the new things from the update are more of a "you all have to work together/talk things on how to do the missions". you need some really good team coordination for the higher difficulty mission on these missions more than what we had before.

Some basic team work make it much easier. Marking enemies, sticking with the team, watching others back, stiming the wounded. Its all you need to make the caves a bit of a cake walk.
