Racism has no place in the world.Shame these fucks every chance you get.
Hi, I'm black. I did pretty well just ignoring the idiots. There is a time to fight...but surely not like this.
Please I live in RI and I see that shit daily.
MLK and Civil Rights Activists still shone a light on people being fucked up. I don't see your comparison.
Same way I handled my two year olds. Smile, nod, ignore unless it's harmful. You're welcome.

Never once did MY hero point a finger at an individual and cast judgement.
SoAs grandma said "kill them with kindness." Which is why MLK succeeded and The Panthers failed.
I take huge issue with the idea that, through the internet, a generation of kids are growing up thinking that it's okay to spew this garbage for the world to see. If we doing actively and passionately expose and shame them, what else should be done? Just say "Well shucks, that ain't nice" and roll with the punches?
Now exposing them is some act of cruelty? What the hell kind of bullshit is this?
He didn't cast judgment but the Civil Rights Movement was still about highlighting where discrimination is still happening. Racism wasn't ignored. Your history is fucking flawed.

Talking about this stuff and highlighting it is exactly what the Civil Rights Movement was about and yet you're talking about just keeping quiet.
No your interpretation of MY hietory if flawed. The minute you point a finger it's a fight. Why not try to educate instead?
Great site.A tumblr was made to showcase some of the racist comments made by people since Obama's re-election. Their names (and in one case, driver's permit) are not blocked. And in case you're wondering why such private info is being put on display:
Who do you even know to educate without awareness of racism to begin with? When you have people convinced we're in a post-racist world and don't even want to discuss that it is still an ever present problem, you can point to this tumblr and say "right here." We're still not close to even educating people about racism because we're stuck on "it's not a problem."
I'd rather convert 1 then scream at a thousand.
No you'd just smile, nod and be on your day.

That kindness is deadly.
Same here.
Someone should pitch a "To Catch a Racist." to TV networks.
That kindness is deadly.
Thank you.

No offense but fuck you, what the hell would you know about it?

Why are so many random people tweeting at me saying I'm a racist?? Get a fucking life
That'd be because you're racist. Search "Shelby Giles Indiana," as will your future prospective employers.
Yeah I haven't dealt with lewd comments about a wet t-shirt contest yo. I understand the need to keep on walking. I don't understand the inability to recognize when others want to call it out and shaming the people focusing a spotlight.

People have a freedom of speech. Yes, they might use that freedom for awful things, but it's still their right. We shouldn't be attacking people for exercising their right to free speech. Just ignore it, and if they have no audience to speak to, they'll shut up.
This tweet from Shelby "I just can't get over planet of the apes" Giles.

Got the appropriate response.
Fight the cause...not the conduit. This will breed more haters than help thr cause.

Yes, putting them on blast on the Internet is going too far.
Exactly.Freedom of speech. Freedom to be publicly embarrassed and pilloried for being a fucking cunt. Fair's fair.
That's what I thought when I came across this one. It could be misinterpreted. Let's hope that's the case.![]()
I think this one is not that bad, she is just reacting to the coments of other people =P
I really hope it is only that...
You're asking the impossible.
The cause of racism is ignorance, experience, or demographics. There is no way you or any other black could fight the cause, as you'd probably get arrested in Arizona for looking illegal on your first stop.
What is actually realistic, is for people who can educate these people; Life Experience/Parents/Teachers/Employers. Having the ability to see where these kids are going wrong, and correct their course. And that is exactly what happened with this shaming.
Absolute bullshit.
People are free to (more or less) say what they want and not face legal consequences.
Others have the right to call you out on your shit, shun you, etc.
This is good not because it's public shaming or because it's condemning people for racism, but because it reminds people that saying things online isn't like making throwaway comments to your friends offline. People need to learn that when you put things online, they can be permanently tied to your name.
If I spent my days yelling at every racist I saw I would never leave my town. A confident smile and eye contact is sometimes all it takes to change an opinion. We must show we are not going down to their level.

The clergymen also disapproved of the immense tension created by the demonstration. To this, King affirmed that he and his fellow demonstrators were using nonviolent direct action in order to cause tension that would force the wider community to face the issue head on. They hoped to create tension: a nonviolent tension that is needed for growth. King responded that without nonviolent forceful direct actions, true civil rights could never be achieved.
The letter includes the famous statement "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere", as well as quotes the words of Chief Justice Earl Warren, spoken in 1958 at the University of Cincinnati School of Law: "[J]ustice too long delayed is justice denied".

I read thru all the posts and I'm honestly shocked at how many of them were advocating or threatening assassination. I hope the Secret Service is reading this blog and taking notes.
