I can't believe the ahistorical nonsense some of you political newbies are spouting. Kohl was majorly responsible for two of the most important and beneficial political developments of the 20th Century.

If leaders of his caliber were still around, Europe would have sailed through the last few years instead of floundering under the obstinate bean counters and charlatans that lead it now.

Looks like his widows doesnt want that Kohl gets a state burial, because so she wouldnt be able to control who would be able to attend at the burial. Also, she planned first that Angela Merkel would not be allowed to speak and instead the superdemocrat number one Victor Orban should hold a speech.
