Yeah I remember using a 3rd party dialer, but I no longer have the disk for it, and can't locate it online.

I remember reading that there's built-in support for broadband connections in Win98SE, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Have you tried running the internet connection wizard?

I ran a thrid party software to establish the connection. I think it was called EnterNet or something like that. So much easier now that it's built in now though.
