ok so i got a new hd and an enclosure for it, and i have it all hooked up, and windows recognized it as a hard drive and installed it and everything, but it doesn't show up in my computer.

all the hardware wizards in windows say it's functioning properly, but if i can't find the damn drive i can't really do much with it. argh, help!

the manual for the enclosure says that if it doesn't show up in my computer i can format it through the dos command prompt, but i don't know what i'd need to do to format it.
