Psi Ops does not suck.... it definitely has some problems and the story could be less hokey... but the gameplay engine is damn solid.

There is still hope. People just need to understand that you can play single player in Zelda 4 Swords and still enjoy it.

Spiderman numbers for four days are pretty amazing. Last game to have those kind of figures on PS2 at the end of a summer month was Frontline and that sold a million in five weeks.

edit:
doh, can work out the total software market by the numbers in the first post. Roughly $380m. Good numbers, slightly more than 10% up over last year. Especially strong since last year there was the benefit of the first, full, month of two hardware price-cuts (Xbox and PS2) versus just PS2 this year.
 
It's like unwrapping your Christmas presents only to find empty boxes. :(

I certainly hope 4swords put up some decent numbers. One of the best mp games I've ever played and I'd love to see it carry on.

It also doesn't help matters much when basically every retailer had the PS2/XBX versions of Spiderman on sale and not the Cube version. I know I would have snatched it up if it were $40 like the other versions. I'm not saying it would make up the difference but it would have helped.

For what it's worth, I thought the demo sucked. I never understood the hype around this game - it looked generic.
