I feel ya there. I was thinking the same thought earlier today when I was watching. I've argued with my fair share on Twitch, but I learned pretty quickly that these people are teetering towards insanity with their groupthink.

I've seen it stop before, usually was down for a short period. 20 min might be accurate, I don't usually sit and watch it very closely.

If you look at some of the footage from the first few days (first day was really killing it with the dance/music), yeah it definitely looked like a lot of fun. Shame it can't be like that more often.

I think setting aside an area where people can not only commune with one another to reinforce togetherness, but to share that camaraderie with the world is a good idea. It's not exciting most of the time, but it's good to tune in every now and again to see a random person or a group of people say something uplifting. I don't think there's a fundamental problem with the exhibit aside from the fact that the Nazis and channers keep coming where they're not fucking wanted.

I don't think most of the trolls are actual sociopaths, more likely didn't get the ethical and social foundation growing up that most people get. Being around positive people for long periods could change them.

What's really strange about people saying these things is that their face and their identity will forever be attached to saying these vile things. Do they really think it won't come back to haunt them one day? It's a celebrity's art installation, likely archived multiple times over.
