Minotauro said:I don't smoke but I wish people would just mind their own business when it comes to people who do. I mean, there are a million things that people do that are bad for them. Do you know how irritating it would be to have some self-righteous prick nagging you about health risks whenever you go into McDonald's? At this point, everyone is aware of how bad these things are for you. Shit, ignoring all the television commercials and news reports, I would assume that sucking smoke into your lungs would be harmful in the first place. If they still choose do them, for whatever reason, why must you try to make them feel guilty for their choice? It really bothers me whenever someone I know takes out a cigarette and then has to contend with a bunch of negative looks and comments. Just mind your own business.
With some exceptions, it really is that these people are just personally bothered by the smell of smoke. They don't want to have to breath smoke when they're eating or what not. If that's the case, just say that. Don't come up with some bullshit about how you care about the person's health.

Serafitia said:All it takes to quit is a little effort and one of those patches. Some think it's a waste of money, but it's about the price of ten packs of cigs. Most people do it to look cool or to calm down, but they don't look cool smoking outside in 30 degree weather and it's a stimulant. Mental weakness, plus it stinks, literally.

So is drinking for that matter.

The sun gives you cancer. Being alive gives you cancer, but I don't care. I rather die young than suffer when i'm in my 80s and have some lady changing me cause I poop'd myself.
this though is possibly the most retarded statement ever on the board.. ever... anyone who says (and means) they would rather die young obviously is still maturing.jobber said:I rather die young than suffer when i'm in my 80s and have some lady changing me cause I poop'd myself.

no, I'm calling you retarded because you said you would rather die young.jobber said:are you telling me cause i don't want to be a crippled old man, i'm retarded? i rather be dead than stuck in a bed all day for how ever long it takes for my heart to stop.
borghe said:no, I'm calling you retarded because you said you would rather die young.
Me personally, no I don't want to be crapping myself, but I DO hope I live long enough to see my great nephews/nieces, my grandkids, and maybe if I am lucky enough my great grand kids..
it is one thing to hope you age well, it is even another thing to say that if you don't age well you don't want to live like that, but it is a completely different thing to say you would rather die young... and that's what I meant by immaturity... because anyone who has truly seen what life has to offer would never make such a silly statement.
the fact that you say you look and feel as if you are 35 says a lot..jobber said:well see that's the thing...i've seen ALOT in my years. I'm 25 but I look and feel like i'm 35. If I could, I would retire right now. Everybody has their own mind and just because my feeling on life doesn't coincide with what your reality thinks is the "norm" my thoughts are retarded?
borghe said:the fact that you say you look and feel as if you are 35 says a lot..
I went a little far with the retarded thing, but obviously you still have a lot to learn about life..
25 ain't shit..
I'm 2 months away from 30 and I still don't know shit..
becoming a grown up is the day you realize that no matter how old you are, you still don't know shit.
