Cool memes, his book about tiding up your room is alright and maybe a little too preachy for people with aversion to christian religion. But his rise to cult status and politization is incredible cringe to me, but what you gonna do, that's the internet for you today.

I know i won't get sympathetic replies here, take your shots if you want, i mean, i won't change my mind and I'm looking to educate myself on the guy, so try and be happy.

I'll happily agree to disagree with your take, no need to take shots.

The whole problem these days is that the people who cry "language is violence" are the ones who have successfully weaponized language as a means to attack people who step out of line ideologically, and in the name of liberalism and progressivism bully and brigade them out of the public square.

The hatred some people have for Peterson is not only unwarranted, but a sign of their hypocrisy and dishonesty.

Naturally there are bad actors on all sides, that's just human nature, but I think you can make an airtight case that the conglomeration of philosophies and outlooks that are generally described as "woke" take as a core premise that dissenting opinions (and the speakers of such) cannot be tolerated and must be expelled.

I'm sorry, but to me there's an unambiguously religious fervour to the way that they hold their rhetoric to be above challenge or critique. They make it so nuanced discussion is virtually impossible because they inevitably retaliate with claims of dark ulterior motives. Every interaction gets Godwinned, and what's worse the followers of this belief dominate positions of power in the media and government.
