After last week's debacle, it's hard to argue that point. :lol

Unsurprisingly I miss one of the few NASCAR races I like to watch during the year due to some cable trouble. Good to see my boy Ron Fellows finish 8th, after spinning out early and finding his way at the back. Hope he's doing the Trans Am race here in a couple weeks. And on a related note, congrats to my boy Paul Tracy for winning in Cleveland today, leading into his home race the Toronto Molson Indy. I'll be getting my three day general admission and CART paddock pass this week.

The only other road course of the year (unless they added another one I'm unaware of) is at Watkins Glen in New York in the middle of August. Last year's race was just fantastic to watch, with today's winner Tony Stewart holding off the field despite being incredibly sick, while my boy Ron Fellows came from dead last to finish a few car lengths back in second.

And if you wanna see the most bad ass racing action on the planet, throw it onto Speed TV right now for highlights from the Acropolis Rally in Greece.

It's not my cup of tea, but I do like watching the Daytona and night oval races. I think the Pepsi 400 at Daytona which is run at night takes place next week. But yeah, I'll always prefer road/street racing, or the off-road stuff in the case of rallying. Still, I'd never discount oval racing as not being racing...watch the open wheelers rip up a track like Michigan and you appreciate just how insane it can be.
