Return to the hilariously action-packed world of High On Life in the upcoming intergalactic adventure from Squanch Games: High On Life 2.

High On Life 2 introduces an all-new intergalactic conspiracy that threatens the fate of humanity. Set for a release this winter, prepare for an epic mission across a variety of exotic locales alongside a refreshed and fully-loaded arsenal of talking alien guns.

Following the debut of High On Life 2's first official trailer at the Xbox Games Showcase, players will be elated to see the return of several familiar weapons from their original High On Life arms cache. Not only do Sweezy, Creature, and Gus earn their formal homecoming, but notably making a sharp return is Knifey, gaming's ultimate bloodthirsty melee at the epicenter of 2023's High On Knife DLC expansion.

While the original gang of guns will certainly assist the cause as users blast their way through high-octane hyperactive combat, High On Life 2 adds several new dynamic shooters into the mix. The latest assortment of weapons creates a well rounded medley of lethal proportions that promises both striking action and Squanch Games' signature comedic flair.

During High On Life's initial premiere in 2022, Squanch Games unlocked a variety of esteemed achievements – the FPS was quickly affirmed as Xbox's biggest 3rd party launch in Game Pass historyand managed to become the biggest single-player Game Pass launch of the era. With a total player base of over 20 million and counting, the studio behind the galactic mayhem is eager to satiate the hunger of its audience with even more HOL.

"The Squanch Games team is ecstatic to continue expanding the world of High On Life with a sequel release. We've been floored with the amount of support for the original game and couldn't be more excited for our players to revisit this universe after nearly 3 years. High On Life 2 is undoubtedly the best, most ambitious project our studio has crafted to date – it's bigger and better in every way," says studio CEO, Mike Fridley.

High On Life 2 is a total elevation of its original installment. Visuals are taken to their ultimate creative heights, combat is bolder than ever before, and fresh narrative breathes new life into each character. The game's official trailer lays it all on the table, and you don't want to miss a single frame.

Chief Creative Officer of Squanch Games, Mikey Spano, visited Xbox Studios to explore the trailer taking the internet by storm. Scene by scene, score a closer look at the visionary threads that weave together your first peek at High On Life 2!

Humanzapro. Combat. Skateboarding. Weaponry. Comedy. It all comes together in an innovative blend of action-packed adventure having players wreak havoc at the galaxy's biggest convention, an alien zoo for humans, and a luxury futuristic cruiseliner on a cosmic quest to take down Big Pharma.

Can't wait. Hope the jokes land more than the DLC. It's a great IP.

Wasn't Roiland found NOT guilty in front of court in the end or am I missing something? Why the whole industry blacklisted this guy on false claims? I can understand a period of cold shoulders until it's solved but after he was cleared of the allegations, why the fuck is he not back?

Fucking cancel culture

Same thing with Jeremy Soule. Way to lose some amazing talent out of fucking nothing. :lollipop_crying:

Now that's the kind of heavy-handed political messaging I can get on board with.

(even though it's much more of a farce in the HoL universe)

happened to Trevor Bauer.

Once you get accused, you are screwed, it is crazy but that's the way it works or worked (hopefully past tense)

As someone that wasn't familiar at all with Roiland's humor, I was shocked at how much I enjoyed the first game, especially the OST which I found to be super underrated.

The Knifey DLC was decent too with the big fat final boss being the actress who played Precious :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Day 1 for the sequel easily

100% bullshot trailer though, its not gonna look like that

Yeah, you can see with how the character moves around that it isn't gameplay. But I'm sure it will look really good. It's coming this winter, so the wait for some real gameplay probably can't be too long.

Why would he come back?

He resigned from the company that makes these games- He literally doesn't work there any more. Why would the company offer him his job back? For more media attention- that will no doubt be negative?

Way to miss the entire point
No i get your point about cancel culture w/o due process and all that jazz.

I'm just saying, why would he get asked back:

a) he doesn't work there anymore
b) its negative publicity considering there has not been more news on the disproved allegations.
c) He has not asked to come back either- publicly anyways.

And soundalikes will cost a lot less money.

Without Justin Roiland its not the same. If you have played the DLC you know what I mean, it wasn't very good. He contributed so much to the first game with writing, ad-libbing and world building (besides voicing a bunch of characters). I don't have great feeling about this one without him.

No, the first game was only good because of the humor and I'm guessing Justin Roiland was heavily involved in that. Lots if it is ad lib. Otherwise the game sucked in many ways.

I think that they will go full on woke on this one just to concrete in that Justin Roiland isn't involved, and once we know HOW they go woke many here will no longer be interested. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but yeah, stay tuned.

I think a lot of the people looking at this that didn't play the first game are gonna be surprised at how this game actually plays. It's super basic. Talk happens 100% of the time and the humor is the point. Looking at this because the graphics look good? This ain't that kinda game bro. You don't play high on life to have a good fps experience. You play for the jokes. Destiny 2 this is...not.

I'd be okay with a soundalike but I'm pretty sure Roiland was heavily involved in the humor here. I'm not expecting much. Also, I don't like how he got blackballed. Not at all.
