It was a little bit more intricate than you're making it out to be. If you had paid attention to the video, you'd realize she is making extremely derogatory statements at him and insulting him at every turn. She was the major instigator. After being insulted based on my ethnicity, after having a drink thrown in my face, after being flipped off, and after being egged on I would have probably acted in the same way if I was that person.
We don't see the beginning of the talk. Yeah, she was insulting him but the video starts with her saying, 'Why would you do that?' Something happened before. What if he grabbed her ass or tits? I remember being young and drunk at spring break and interactions between boys and girls were not always good natured. If he grabbed her pussy, reactions to this and his alleged stabbing would be a lot different. I'm assuming a young guy, did something else to cause her reaction. Just a hunch. I don't know what but any conclusion is misguided.

I'm loving this lol

The overuse of the word "bitch" in this thread suggests we're in some sort of alternate rap video world.

You're right. She sounded like more of a cunt.

White knights and thugs up in dis bitch.

Really though, can we get any more info about the stabbing? Was that related to this incident?

Watching the video, the sound of the woman's voice is enough for me to know that I wouldn't want to have any contact with her. I'd walk away, simple. So why didn't the red flags go up in this guy's head before all of this went down?

As much as walking away would suck, I think it would piss her off even more then getting dropped. Cut her off mid sentence, say some snarky comment ("You're not worth my time", or something) and just walk away while she's still yelling at you. She seems like the kind of girl that would be furious over that type of reaction.

Have........you even gotten to Amazon Lilly yet? Luffy beats up a bunch of womenz.

er....have you seen it? Luffy runs away from the women as they fire arrows etc at him. He fights in the arena when forced to help out some victims and he only fights the 2 snake monsters.

and at the end he is still chivalrous. dont fuck about with luffy's reputation! :D

as someone else said Karma White Knighted his ass.

He probably ran into someone who remembered the pool incident or he is a class A asshole and pissed someone else off at the club who wasnt gonna hear it.

Awful.

He gets a drink thrown at him so he knocks the woman flat down onto concrete? He's an ass.

With that kind of reaction by him, I'm guessing he probably did something that made him deserve the drink in the face.

Don't throw beer in someone's face and not expect consequences? Although, all he did was sweep her leg. Not liked he punched her.
Her head smacked into the concrete . . . she would have been better off with a punch.

It's not true. the story about him being stabbed was made up to make all the white knights feel better about themselves.:lol

And where do you think she would have landed after the punch? A floor filled with soft bunnies?

Clearly you've never been punched by anyone who knows how to....I'll take a leg sweep over a loaded up right hand or left hook anyday. You should try both and report back, btw.

nah she would have landed on a bed of roses with her glass refilled obviously.

I don't know how i feel about retaliating towards acts of assault against women. On one hand, hitting women in any capacity is uegghgh to me. But I feel like it's sexist and unfair to not retaliate the same way I would with a guy.

Anyway, he shouldn't have hit her. He should have just chucked her dumb ass in the pool.

I love the people that think this is a better option. She is obviously drunk. Throwing her into a pool would possibly have lead to her drowning.

I know her friends or whatever were pretty useless during the leg sweep, but I'd like to think someone would have fished her out if she didn't resurface in a timely manner. I'd be more worried about her getting hurt due to being thrown in the shallow end and knocking her head on the pool floor.

So its ok to punch a woman if that woman is threatening another woman?

I read the news posting after this video was released, the guy who swept the girl got stabbed in the spine at a nightclub that very same evening and was paralyzed from the neck down... it was reported in the news here locally because our news program has a nightly "random news from a random place in the world" segment.

Is this true or not? I don't want it to be true.

Assuming that she is not made of lead, she is not going to sink to the bottom of the pool. Even if she did, a 10 foot deep pool with a bunch of people around to fish her out if she can't thrash her way to the side is not a drowning hazard.

Of course, kicking her leg out so that her head falls on concrete is a very real skull cracking hazard.

It's not as if they have a pet tiger shark in the pool or something. Some people are so ridiculously afraid of water.

You know, if you cross reference the 'women sometimes deserve to get hit' section of GAF with the abundance of virgin-GAF and Girl Problem-Age members, there's got to be some sort of important result in the findings.... I just am not sure what that is. :lol

I stand by the fact that if you chat to a girl and do the wrong thing, slap or drink-face are fair game.

Hai guyz, unprovoked assault is ok if it's a woman.

I'll agree with the fact that he shouldn't have done what he did. It's obviously a much more dangerous thing to do than have some alcohol thrown in your face. I know my reaction in this case would have been to make some sort of mocking statement (condescendingly of course). I bet she would've gotten real angry about that.

But no, it's never ok for a girl to slap a dude, unless you also think it's ok for a guy to slap a girl for saying something he doesn't like?

Why is it, than in your opinion, guys have to just brush off insulting statements from women and cannot respond with violence, but it's perfectly alright for a girl to slap a guy because she felt insulted?

Just to be clear, the following quote is my take on the situation... With that said, the picture posted below is my version of "kicking the proverbial ant hill."

My summary.

1. I loathe people who can't manage to consume alcohol without acting like fuckwits.

2. Dude obviously said something to fire her up, and she threw a drink in his face. She shouldn't have done it, but I can't drum up any sympathy for him.

3. Leg sweep was an overreaction, but I struggle to feel any sympathy for her.

4. Dude (allegedly) got stabbed in the spine... that's fucked up.

5. Too much fucking moral grandstanding in this thread.

So wait, him grabbing her ass warrants her acting the way she did? But her throwing her drink in his face doesnt warrant him giving her a lil leg sweep?

Raise your hand if you think the people who are for "apologizing and walk away" are just as wrong as the people going "Fuck yeah! That'll show her!".

Horrified. Watching the whole video doesn't help-- he did try to grab her before she threw the beer.

He should have dumped her in the water.

A drink is not going to hurt you. Dude crossed a line.

Is this...? Yes? No? I just can't tell anymore.

Fuck her. Because of her gender, she thought she had immunity from the consequences of her actions. After all she is the one who brought the ordeal to physical violence. If I were in her position, I most definitely would not throw my drink the the face of a man twice my size. I know how badly I would get my ass beat.

This is a simple case study of being a drunk bitch, and I'm glad someone captured it all on film. See her next spring.

As long as white knight GAF continues to see this as an issue of misogyny, this discussion wont end.

Some of us aren't white knights and just disagree with the escalation from liquid tossing to human on human violence.

First reaction: Serves her right.

Second reaction: Hmmm shouldn't say anything that might seem misogynistic; the dude is a jerk and overreacted.

*raises hand*

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that both sides were wrong. This thread is basically choosing which of the equal dumbasses you side with. Both the White Knights and Team Slap-a-Ho are hilarious.

It's not debatable that this guy's response was over the line. She could have gotten a concussion or something. But it does raise the issue of how women are treated as though they have carte blanche to assault men in whatever way they choose, be it verbally, harmless physical assault like throwing a drink, or mild violence. What would have happened to her had he not sweeped the leg? Jack shit, that's what. Now reverse the situation and watch all her guy friends pounce the dude because he threw a drink in her face, and maybe throw in a bullshit physical assault charge. It's the same thing with violence. I've heard a number of stories of a guy fighting back, essentially little more than self-defense, against some crazy bitch throwing punches, and having the cops called on him and arrested. Almost NEVER happens the other way around.

Men don't throw drinks at women because they know there are consequences. Why should should it be any different for women? That whole "equality" thing ain't all peaches and cream, feminists.
