Hillary Clinton is ready to join the resistance

Also judging by some of the replies in this thread I feel like a lot of people on "the left" who aren't okay with this aren't okay with it more because it doesn't fit their narrative of "Hillary learning her lesson" than it actually being harmful to any of their ideals or principles. Imo that's a really cartoonish way of looking at things. This news to me sounds like Hillary is moving on and wants to use her connections for good, rather than taking her ball home and telling everyone to fuck off and remaining bitter about the race for the rest of her life.

He only lost because of DEMOCRATIC RIGGING OF THE DNC!

AM I RIGHT?

Because if he was overwhelmingly popular with the party rank and file he would have fucking won the primary.

or maybe voting for Clinton in the primary doesn't correlate to actively disliking Sanders. Hmm

Go check the recent polls. He's the most popular policitian at the country atm.

Hillary has a lower approval rating than Trump last time I checked.

Nah, neoliberal centrists are actually really bad at winning elections or passing meaningful legislation that isn't immediately overturned by Republican administrations.

Bullshit.
Obama, Bill Clinton, Angela Merkel, Macron, and Trudeau just off the top of my head are GREAT at winning elections.

I don't give a flying f' if they're left-liberal or democratic party or leftist wing. Hell, I don't even have a clue where I reside in those. That doesn't change how asinine they're being as an individual.

I'd rather try to win and achieve my policy aims than focus on identifying who is and who is not being asinine.

It isn't a general attitude that is being displayed in this thread though...

Multiple people in this thread are clearly drawing on the same sentiment. That was just the most outspoken example.

Grassroots eh? Kinda ironic considering the grassroots nominee Bernie Sanders was fucked over by her campaign.

She needs to go away and not come back for awhile.

It is like even if she identifies the pulse of the party and supports their idea of moving towards grassroots activism she is still fucked.

Trump maybe taking the L's right now, but the left sure as shit is going to continue taking electoral L's. Democrats would rather fight each other than the republicans. Shit is crazy on a day that the House just pushed for a repeal of ACA.

Well the white ones at least. A lot of minority Democrats aren't exactly huge fans of him lately.

He has 73% approval with POC, and 88% approval with Clinton voters, so nope.

This, of course, doesn't invalidate criticism of his handling on racial issues, but it's fairly clear that these debates are not playing out within the party rank and file the way they are in the media.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?

Yeah all those people she mind controlled to vote against Bernie in the primaries was amazing

Good luck trying to win with a couple individuals in a game forum who won't be happy until Hillary is dead. They're being fools and absolutely deserve to be called out on it.

Or maybe you can just realize that Bernie is not universally appealing and thus shouldn't be the face of the party every time?

I know a lot of Romney Hillary voters that would NOT have voted for Bernie. Guess what? Dems are gonna need those voters too to win suburban areas.

Do you want an actual 50 state strategy or do you just want to keep looking for reasons to flip your shit at Hillary?

Well I mean you know she uses the bones of Vince Foster to make the flour right?

Listen, putting spinach in pancakes may have been extremely careless and even worthy of sanction, but nobody would go to prison for it, no matter whose daughter they were.
god bless you pigeon

I'm part of the party rank and file and while I'm sure the polls say one thing, in my anecdotal evidence most of minority democrat friends would rather Bernie stop putting his foot in his mouth before they give him a pat on the back for being woke.

By fucked over do you mean... he lost?

And even then her final will needs to have a personal apology to each of them.

Please tell me how pledging to raise money without looking for the spotlight is "learning all the wrong lessons". What "lesson" is she supposed to be learning, if not that?

How about you answer my question first, why would the Black Lives Matter movement endorse a candidate if they didn't genuinely think she had their back? They didn't have to endorse anyone.
I don't know why, as I can't speak for others, but I would assume it was because she was (and is) better then the alternative. That was then, during the presidential election of the year 2016. We are now in May of 2017, where she lost and is now trying to get back into some kind of political activism.

Continue to complain, blame and turn on each other. That is exactly what the GOP wants.

"Hillary needs to just go away!"
"She better not be pushing Chelsea"
"Obama makes money doing speeches for Wall Street! He's a traitor"
"Bernie is racist!"
"Hillary is a Demon!"

Keep going down that road and see where it leads. The right's agenda will continue to come to fruition.

Wow look at mr. Smarty pants over here.

You and I both know that if it was our daughter who made those pancakes they'd be locked up in jail right now without the key. The only reason Chelsea wasn't convicted was because she's a Clinton.

I'm certainly not a huge Abuela fan, but this is a sound strategy for the party. Democrats need all the money they get to win back Congress.

Her staying out of the limelight is the best thing for Dems.

Her role is to raise money for political activism; which will end up supporting progressives that will come from the grassroots, why is that not okay again?

do you people keep thinking that this is even remotely in consideration

stop dipping your dicks in outrage sauce the second you see the word clinton for one fucking day i swear to god

eBay.

You've left me no choice.

This is just not how sauce works.

Not only that, but as someone from suburban MA, I know a shitload of Romney voters who ended up voting for Hillary last year and I can guarantee you that if Bernie had been the nominee, they would have just sat out.

Bernie types work GREAT for rural areas, but are very unappealing in suburban areas.

And how does people bitching about the fact Bernie got destroyed in the primaries by voters convince anyone to work together and move on?

"Moving on" and "learning lessons" only applies to Hillary. When it comes to Bernie they're happy to retread the same conspiracy theories about rigged primaries for the millionth time.

Obama, Bill Clinton, Angela Merkel, Macron, and Trudeau just off the top of my head are GREAT at winning elections.

Obama (and Trudeau though that was more Mulcair being a complete idiot by pivoting to the centre) feigned being a progressive candidate in his first campaign and presided over the near complete collapse of Democratic power across federal and state lines. If that's the kind of success you want to cling to in defense of your poisonous, parasitic ideology then more power to you (less actually)

They weren't ignored! She went on and on about the things she adopted from Bernies playbook and how she wanted to bring everyone together! But instead, the far leftists went "PFFFT YEAH RIGHT YOURE FULL OF SHIT" and doubled down on the hate.

She could have promised immediate free universal healthcare, college educations, the whole nine yards and it *still* wouldn't have been good enough for some people.

So you're saying that their votes were unwinnable and Clinton should have ignored them, in which case why bother singling them out for ire if they weren't persuadable?

She needs to stick around just so I can keep seeing your Hulk ass saying this lol..been a minute.

Indeed. Obama was disastrous for his party on the local and state level.
