HITMAN |OT| Blood Monthly

Definitely sounds like they're winding down support on season one. Only one ET is disappointing too. I was hoping to get the 13 ET suit this month but now that can't happen. On the other hand, I haven't really played the game at all since I finished all professional mode challenges so hopefully season two news is coming soon.

Presumably the goal is to pack all the player feedback in a month into a single week, so that the live content team isn't standing by for those quiet weeks when there's just an escalation and very little feedback?

I can stretch out the content for a whole month but it will be a little sad when there's just nothing to talk about for the rest of April. Hopefully the monthly schedule is just for the off-season lull.

Feels like it's becoming all hands on deck for Season 2. Hopefully, I can get the Winter Suit this month and not have to worry about it anymore.

Details of elusive target #23 are out. No secondary objectives this time.

First impressions on the new content today:

The Paparazzo:
He's easy to spot in the public areas. It's not clear if he actually ever manages to bypass security.

The Otaktay Obliteration: Level 1 - Eliminate the Point Man as a militia technician.

The Yuuma Tenacity: Level 1 - Eliminate Nails as any surgeon.

Haven't looked at the featured contracts yet.

now that I am finally free of the curse of the winter suit I can just snipe people in the head again, feels good

The Yuuma Tenacity is definitely one of the best escalations. No matter how you play, level 5 will make you find a new playstyle.

Today I realized there are certain things that happen I really want to see dramatized by real people for the sheer absurdity. On level 3, I immediately injected the Chief Surgeon and took his clothes before anyone noticed. Then someone turned around and suddenly everyone was looking at an undressed, writhing corpse and another man brazenly standing next to him wearing his clothes.

Is there a way to make a specific person get attracted to a coin toss? Because sometimes it feels random.

If I loved Human Revolution and Mankind Divided, what are the chances that I'd like Hitman?

Only ever played Blood Money, and it was only the demo.

Probably pretty good? I mean It's hard to say because Hitman is very different from the Deus Ex games, but they both share significant design ideologies, and you could make an easy argument for Hitman being an immersive sim. Highly emergent gameplay, big sandbox-y levels that provide tons of different solutions and traversal options, detailed and dense environments with a staggering amount of NPCs and usable objects, stealth, etc.

Unlike the DE games though (at least for me), Hitman not only strongly incentivizes replaying each level, it's completely built around it. I personally didn't even want to move on from a level until I had felt like I'd mastered it, hence the literal mastery level in-game.

I believe it's usually the person closest to the sound of it when it is tossed.

I think with targets that have a group linked to them, the target will force a random stooge to go to where it was tossed.

If you watch some recent speedrun videos, it becomes much more predictable if you drop the coin instead of throwing it. This will avoid making noise so that only someone who sees you drop the coin will come up to you.

Then you just have to make sure only the person you want to lure actually sees you drop the coin. This seems to involve a lot of bumping into people to keep them in place, depending on who else is nearby.

Finally got the Winter Suit. I just hope two of the remaining targets take place in Sapienza and Marrakesh because I still haven't done a target on either of those locations.

sometimes someone from another end of the room will go near, haha

Ahh that explains a lot. Was wondering why players just drop coins.

Marrakesh absolutely has one in the cue.

Nighttime Marrakesh with a clown, no less. ;)

Tried Paparazzo, spent 20 mins looking for him and hanging with Sato and never found him. Gave up.

Is there a good website or something that shows the AI paths of the elusive targets after they go up? I feel like I'd enjoy ETs more if I could cheat a little and check a guide to see where they start going in. I've quit about half the ETs from not being able to find the target and giving up eventually. I know the intro shows spots where they will be, but if I go and wait at one of those spots (like with this one it showed a scene with Sato so I hung with Sato for 15 mins+) half the time they never appear or I cross paths.

Unfortunately, there's no resource like that - people just do video walkthroughs.

Honestly, half the intros have been misleading and show the elusive targets in places they never actually go. You get the feeling that all the intros and briefings were made ahead of time, only for some of the ideas in them to get cut out because they couldn't be implemented properly.

In this case,
the guy will never successfully get past security and so never actually gets anywhere near Sato. Look for him out in the open in the party.

Still need 4 more targets, one of which in Colorado to unlock everything :/
(Yeah I fucked up a number of them, I'm not great at ETs it seems >_<)

If you haven't tried to solve a contract with the silenced shotgun, I highly recommend it. You may only get one star and kill many many many non targets, but man if it isn't one of the more satisfying experiences I've had in this game....

I actually didn't get SA on this one. I dropped the chandelier on his head, but one other NPC randomly walked into the zone, killing him or her as well. Oh well, it's not like I needed the SA's anymore.

All I need is one more Silent Assassin to get the coat. I wonder if we'll need the core game for season 2 because I erase the games that I have Platinumed or 100% completed to make space for new ones

I bought Absolution and Hitman 2016 for XBO. Starting the former now that it's backward compatible.

Basically my first Hitman game ever.
Absolution is very different to every other Hitman game (both before and after it). I really enjoyed it, but Hitman 2016 is very different to it: whereas Absolution is more of a traditional stealth/action game, Hitman 2016 is more about social stealth and puzzle solving.

For you.
Absolution is a great Splinter Cell game. Definitely not the game I would recommend you as a introduction to the Hitman series, but it is a good game.

I fucked up the first Sapienza Elusive after they started giving new suits and I've been waiting ever since for a new one in that location. It's the only suit I'm missing. I hope they release one soon but I think next Elusive will be in Hokkaido.

Season 2 will use the same core game but all you'll need when the time comes is have the main game installed (Tutorial + Paris).

On Hitmanforums we hold a competition where someone chooses a certain way of doing a mission by using Hitman Roulette.

This week's roulette is:
World of Tomorrow
Starting Location: Field Lab
Silvio Caruso: Kitchen Knife as Mansion Staff
Francesca De Santis: Falling Object as Church Staff
Exit: Car

I'm quite proud of the run i came up with : https://youtu.be/d1cO-C3fCfA

This was the laziest ET for me, I just laid a breaching charge at his feet dressed as a guard and set it off as I walked away.

Nice work as always, I'm really glad they patched back in the cripple shots for SA.

The Paparazzo done. Honestly, trying to pull off anything fast felt too tense so I just went for the basement opportunity.

It's an interesting opportunity with multiple moving pieces to deal with, but it ends far too abruptly.
As far as I can tell you can only get him as far as the top of the stairs outside the dressing room, and there he just stops?
They probably ran out of budget or time to extend the script past there.

I loved how subtle all the repositioned NPCs are unless you know the level inside and out.

MMarston

Was getting caught part of your plan?
Lucky as hell for SA this time for the ET.

Lost track of him at some point then noticed him climbing the basement stairs all by his lonesomes. Sprinted my ass and shot him in the face. Little did I know that he was actually being escorted by security right behind him, so I chucked a crowbar at that guy and bolted for the front gate before anybody noticed the bodies.

I got SA on the ET. Grabbed the crowbar from the museum and knocked out the two guys in the large room next to the piano room. Then I waited for the target and dropped a speaker on his head. Went in blind on this one since I have the Winter Suit and it was fun tracking him a bit to figure out the areas he will wander to. When he went out to smoke u made my plan. Glad it worked out!
