IGN can reveal the hotly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong will be playable in an Australian museum in September 2025. But what does that mean for the actual release date?

Silksong will be playable at the Melbourne museum as part of a video game exhibition called Game Worlds, which will also include displays that delve into the game's design and artistic direction.
As part of the announcement, ACMI shared a sprite sheet from Silksong, below, one of several design elements from the game that will be on display in the Game Worlds exhibition.
I honestly don't think this has anything to do with the release of the game, other than reconfirming it will be a 2025 launch, presumably before September. IGN making what was very likely not intended to be a major piece of news from Team Cherry or the organizers, and just using a giant megaphone for clicks. Knowing it would blow up the news today. As is usual the last several years, IGN can frequently be cringe. Because they just don't have much to report on anymore. Every publisher releases their own news themselves now. It's an enthusiast hobby site now, not a news site. They should just call a spade a spade. There are no journalists working there anymore. And using the term games journalism outside of a tiny handful of people across the games media is an absolute joke.
I still imagine a Nintendo June Direct shadow drop. Just like E3 2018.
On that sprite sheet about halfway down on the right you can see her riding on two rings and there is a 3rd ring in the picture just above it on the right.
