I do displays for Pepsi. I get up at 4:30 to be at work at 5:30. Fireworks here are legal to be set off until 1 am. I don't function too well on 3 hours of sleep.

and if I had neither, I doubt I would. In my family fireworks have never been associated with the new year.

But hypothetically speaking, who should give up their rights in this case? Do I have to give up my rights to a peaceful nights rest or do you give up your rights to shoot off fireworks? either way someone ends up pissed at their neighbor (at least in this neighborhood).
