I would love to see TLOU2 come out of it unaffected by the mind virus, but I don’t think it’s happening. Most likely, the Neogaf response will be proportionally accurate.
Doesn’t mean fans can’t still enjoy the ride if this happens. But there’s going to be a lot of critique, and people stepping away altogether. Which is fair. Everyone is sick and tired of their favorite entertainment being used as blatantly transparent propaganda Trojan Horses.

It won’t get anything but the very best scores, regardless of quality. Reviewers are totally softball when it comes to AAA games like this. Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft, along with a handful of others, would have to screw up immensely for it to actually affect the score.
All this will be happening though. This is a battleground nexus for Woke vs. Sanity, Xbox vs. PS, and Cinematic inspired vs. Gameplay focused, all at the same time. It will be bloodshed.

It's going to get good reviews regardless just because of the $$$. Sony (and other companies, to avoid someone taking this as console warring) don't send out swag for nothing. And there are no muckrakers left in mainstream reviewing anymore, no Jeff Gertsmanns to give it an 8.8 because it's aight. It's a big budget high profile game with lesbian armpit sniffing.
