Ok, so I placed an order and sent an email for Weeds Season 1, 2, and 3.

I'm going to wait and then place another order for Sunshine , Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Wall-E.

Which email? they have several & what do you need to inlude, like just your order number?

So far I am seeing no discount at the checkout & fear that they might just charge my debit card without every giving the discount.
 
On the email I wrote, I lied about getting the promo email.

However, as it turns out, I actually did get the email on Sept 13th
"Amazon.com: Buy Two Blu-ray Discs, Get One Free"

I sent them 3 emails with the same message the last one was ammended about 6 hours after I sent the email requesting the price fix. But it still got fixed.

1) place an order (or another)
2) contact them
3) wait
4) get free bluray!

I think it had more to do with the Blu-Ray vs HD-DVD then the holidays, I seriously doubt we will see any more B1G1 on newer movies.

B2G1 on any blu-ray movies is a fantastic offer I did not expect to see again.
 
Hmm, the only things I want right now is Heroes Season 1 and V for Vendetta. Doesn't exactly make sense to jump in on this right now for me. But I'm glad you guys are getting good deals out of this.
 
The boxset offers if you use them is simply incredible. You end up saving a truck load of money and even with B1G1F of past sales, they put up the worst boxsets that you couldn't use to maximise savings.

The last one that had boxsets had:

Damages
Spidertrilogy
and some other crap.

But price wise, you couldn't maximise savings + it wasn't so great if you already own the boxset - boxset + normal bluray + normal bluray isn't extending your money. This current sale = mad. The fact it includes preorders is insane. If its still going a little later closer to 1st October, I might add the criterion blurays - really want LAST EMPEROR. The dvd encode is horrible
 
So as a Canadian is there any way to order :/ Like will it send me to Amazon.ca when I try to sign in or what will happen?

I wouldn't mind taking advantage of this sweet deal if it works x.x

I canceled mine, too. They don't have a clue what i'm talking about, and with no promotional code, I don't know how people are getting this to work. Is this some sort of internet joke?

sorry but some of you really are impatient (I said, one of my discounts took 6 hours to implement). Sent email, went to bed, in the morning it was implemented. I bought $400+usd worth of blurays and no, I don't work for amazon.

if you can't get the discount over the phone, I really wonder about your phone manners. :S You can call again and see if you got someone more sympathetic. All the info you need is in my posts + links I supplied.

They ask for a promo code...I can't give one because there *isn't* one. Either this deal exists or it doesn't and the two people I've spoken to from Amazon over the phone say it doesn't and I can't provide *anything* that proves otherwise.

Picked up: LA Confidential, The Fall, and Sleeping Beauty; and then since I had Firefly + Band of Brothers on order, I canceled that and grabbed The Godfather collection for free :D

yeah, seems fishy.
They advertise a buy two get one free, but it flatout doesn't work.
Maybe it is a typo & people who got it to go through are just lucky.

It's not done automatically. That simple. You have to contact them.

I'm just glad that I got Wall E, Sleeping Beauty, and Iron Man in the deal...that's pretty much all I want until anything else comes up anyway.
 
Damn.

Placed 2 orders before the offer was cancelled, and sent off the emails for the orders. Now it's cancelled i'm not sure that they will apply the discount. I dont want to leave it till it's to cancel my order and be stuck paying full price.

This was one of the dodgiest promotions ever.
