wow I should have done it last night, would have saved over $100. Didn't know it would end already. I was waiting for some announcements of future titles.

my 9 bluray disc offer... well, they've refunded me the amount twice.


9 newish blurays... $155 total. = $17.26 each shipped.


I know some of you missed the offer... but talk about being good to me. :lol

Eh...I dont like how you have to contact customer service to have to actually activate the offer. And it seems its not working for some people which is even more off putting.

Anyways, as much as I like Blurays, I only buy movies that I really like, or worth owning on BR to demonstrate its beauty (i.e. action, sci-fi and nature documentaries in general). I stopped creating a DVD collection and I don't intend to grow one for Bluray either. I just want to own a select few and Netflix the rest.

It's a nice deal though...

I'm pretty happy with only getting Weeds season 1-3 cheap(14$ each about). I don't have enough money to grow a BLURAY collection right now, so I take full advantage of Netflix. TV series is the exception. I prefer to own them now.
 
dang! I was planning on ordering earlier, but I had to drive back to college and now I find out it's over! :(

I'm going to try anyways. Here goes nothing...
 
I'll just get the Godfather set now and wait for around Christmas time (do they have restrictions on those deals?). It's extra crappy for non-Americans because the shipping is so high on each order, but we don't want to get it from any other Amazon country's site because the prices are terrible.

Yeah, Amazon Japan is doing a B3G1F but the selection is limited. The price for each disc is already discounted so when you add the 3 movies, the 1 'free' movie is basically offsetting the discount :lol And add to that, Japanese BR disc prices are ridiculous. Ripoff totale.

Amazon has never charged me for shipping and receiving defective items. I'v had one defect BluRay and several bags that were not as advertised too.

Along with the Godfather,I also got Indy 4 for free in another order.

I just wish I had ordered more,I didn't believe that it would actually work on box sets.

I already said in my 1st or 2nd post here that it works for boxsets (also at the links I'd supplied). I got killbill2disc set + national treasure 1+2 free. I could have gotten more discs if I applied for austin power boxset or halloween set but I didn't want them
 
Jax,I know you wrote that,I just didn't think it would work because I started reading some blu-ray forums and some people put seeds of doubt in my head.I did one order and got Indy 4 for free and was content with that and didn't want to push my luck.


I decided anyway at the last min to order 3 box sets,but only pre-orders just in case and it took 10 hours to get my email back.I also like some others,thought the sale would last longer.
 
Sweet,my Godfather is now in shipping soon mode and it has $0.00 next to it and $0.00 total shipment price thanks to amazon prime :D Checked my debit card and wasn't charged.

you don't get billed on preorders til they shipped so if you were even remotely interested in scoring a great discount, it really is sort of fool proof. Order, wait. If it works, yes. If it doesn't... just cancel it. Worked for a lot of people here, on the aussie bluray board I posted on.

If there's a next time, something to think about.

this sale was going on 2 weeks ago

I never bothered with it since I'm not much of a movie watcher.
 
i ordered 9 blurays from amazon, most of them were pre-orders, i emailed them a few times about my orders but still have not heard anything back from them yet

not sure what i should do at this point, should i call?

is there a specific email i should send, i was just using the email forms on amazon.com, tried both express and regular emails

No,it wasn't.It was a Fox 3 for 2 deal and it's still going on.The email might have been for the Fox movies,but it linked to a page that said buy any Blu ray and that linked to the main blu ray part of the site.We took advantage of a screw up it seems on amazon's part and were able to include pre-orders and box sets,basically any blu-ray we wanted.Only way to get it to work was to contact a CS rep.

The old link is now pointing towards 3 for 2 on some Fox blu-rays.People on some blu-ray forums have been getting turned down today and being given $5 amazon credit or nothing.

As long as you put your order in and e-mailed before it changed you can call the BBB and they can be penalized, if its worth the effort.

Amazon has a history of fucking people over like this, which is why I proceeded with caution ^^

Anyway anyone think around the holidays we'll see the return of BOGO? I'm trying not to really buy any Disney titles (well older ones) becuase they were the main ones in the BOGOS

The BBB is good for dealing with big companies, but there is only so much they can do, the biggest problem is a lot of people do not use them when they are readily available.

I wonder what their file on Wal Mart is like lol

Canceled my order. I put it in before a lot of other people who got theirs honored and I didn't receive an e-mail back after sending two. No worries, something of a decent deal will surely pop up closer to the holidays.
