Homicide near Port Orchard, WA. Pictures posted on 4chan (Update: Captured)

Kitsap County deputies are conducting a suspicious death investigation after a body was found at an apartment building near Port Orchard.

The victim, a woman believed to be in her 30s, was found in her unit at the South Park Greens Apartments in the 4000 block of Madrona Drive Southeast in South Kitsap Tuesday afternoon.

A family member discovered her body at about 3:30 p.m. and called police.
Investigators said that based on the crime scene, the death appears to be a homicide.
The sheriff's office said that her car is missing. It is described as a gold 2001 Ford Focus with black wheel rims and WA license 495-YLY.

Sheriff's detectives will obtain a search warrant and then enter the apartment to collect evidence. The Kitsap County Coroner will identify the body and determine the manner and cause of death.

Sheriff's investigators are asking anyone who sees the woman's car or knows of its location to contact the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office via 9-1-1 or call 360-307-5400.
KIRO 7 found a disturbing, unverified message with a link to 4chan in the section of the comment section of the Port Orchard Independent.

On 4chan, the message was surrounded by photos of a dead woman's body, possibly the victim. The victim appears nude, with marks on her throat. The comment next to the photos reads, "Check the news for Port Orchard Washington in a few hours. Her son will be home from school soon. He'll find her, then call the cops. I just wanted to share the pics before they find me. I bought a BB gun that looks realistic enough. When they come, I'll pull it and it will be suicide by cop. I understand the doubts. Just check the f------ news. I have to lose my phone now."

A majority of the people on 4chan, even /b/, usually don't play around and will immediately report to the police when people post threads like this.

Another madman. Poor woman. The message indicates he either knew the victim or made sure to investigate her. Horrible.

With that being said, if this is indeed true, I can see 4chan denizens mobilizing quickly to find the guy in real life. They might be idiots, but when shit gets real, they take it seriously and do what's right.
 
I live in Port Orchard, I guess those cop cars I saw at 3:35 on my way home from work were headed there.

Unless he comes back, there's not much they can really do. He's likely on the run in the stolen car right now. 4chan isn't gonna be able to help unless he's dumb enough to post there again (which, honestly, isn't all that unlikely).

If he's posted once he'll post again. He did this for attention and he's bound to get plenty of it now that the news is spreading.

Im still sitting here very nervous and uncomfortable after stumbling onto pics from the 4chan thread on reddit. God, shit like this hurts my soul. So I made a thread on gaming side to distract me that I can follow. This shit is seriously stressing me out.

Apparently, /b/ has allegedly found the suspect in question through social media and is trying to locate him. Never underestimate nerds in large numbers.
 
The mothefucker has nerve to post this on a website that is visited by millions of people, hopefully they find him and prosecute him.

That site really just seems to attract the worst of humanity.

Fucking awful, but I'm also not surprised.

Perhaps the only thing about net neutrailty dying is that it could make it more difficult for people to post their murder photos on the Internet.

Obviously whoever did this is a sick fuck. I hope he doesn't get killed like he hopes; I hope he rots in a jail cell for decades.

Because he knew about her son, there's a very good chance this was a domestic murder. It could have been a random killing, but that's much less likely.
