If this "pre-show" is in-engine and not even running on PS5... I dunno it looks kinda shit, or rather it doesn't look nearly as good as what I'd hoped.

Then again if you look at the Forbidden West reveal trailer, it looks the same, so I guess this is as good as it's going to get.

It clearly states in-engine running on a PS5. This is a panning shot that you cannot get in gameplay in HZD, so logic states they moved a camera spot somewhere and set up on rails motion.

Guerrilla cant do nice vistas. 1st was was the same, it was very impressive on gameplay and closer shots but the vistas was pretty average looking.

Being crossgen im not expecting it to look much diferent than the 1st one.

Say the same thing after the 4k videos go up after the show. It's like no one remembers every PS5 stream over the past year. For one thing, the stream is in 1080p. Second, bitrate will be lower because it's a stream. Some of you have short memories, or are just being intentionally obtuse. Luckily, I don't think the trolls have the stamina to keep this up for 4.5 more hours.

The blurryness is 100% youtube compression.

As for the stuters, that's your end or your eyes. They are not at a lower res. The trees flow smooth with the wind, for example.

Compared to HZD and considering this is a compressed video (it looks super compressed)

- Draw distance improved over HZD (you can see the talneck on the very far left, moving smoothly
- Tree animation seems improved, and they are denser
- Ground tesselation seems improved
- Fog is massively improved

Additional notes

- The way the moon interacts with scene lighting is great (especially with the fog)
- Texture work on the rocks (even with compression) seems to be much better

Once we get higher quality stills / video and the actual gameplay, I'll comment further.

They upped the expectations when they showed off way better graphics last year. This looks like AC Valhalla at best.

The detail on the rocks is literally a gen behind and the foliage quality looks nothing compared to what we saw last here in the gif below. Maybe this area will look better when they do the full reveal today but this is not a good look.
