Not triggered in the least by these, but more impressed that unintentional glitches have provided us two abominations capable of eliciting more unease and dread than some horror games' entire monster catalogues.
 
I am literally working on a horror game as we speak and was literally just designing monsters.

I have been inspired.
 
Wowie this has been one of my more intense trypophobic experiences... Just eughh... It makes my back feel so weird and itchy...
 
Some of y'all posting the trypophobic trigger shit, not cool. Legit nauseous now. I know it's kind of a funny joke for you doing it, but it really set shit awhirl so maybe cut it out? Please? (I'm not coming back in this thread, but just trying to make folks aware of how this can be kind of the worst shit to come across).
 
Its socking because its so unexpected. Wouldn't bother me if this was Resident Evil, but when you expect to see a human face and it something else entirely its alarming.
 
Didn't bother me as much as I was expecting. The one on the left looks like a tumbleweed and the one on the right looks like some art made from a bundle of wood. Body horror usually disturbs me but something about the videogamey-ness of it makes it okay.

I have laughed at friends who cant look at holes and patterns. Those holes in eye photoshops do nothing to me.

But this shit...makes me literally want to dig the image out of my brain. I am not joking. How is this doing this to me?!
 
The one-two punch of the trigger warning in the title (which I tend to just ignore) followed by the absolutely horrifying image and video that follow really make this thread.

Damn, we're absolutely going to be seeing horror monsters based on this glitch. And it will be GLORIOUS!

This reminded me of something that had the opposite effect on me, actually: a glitch in a flight sim was really disturbing and off-putting, because the game, its physics, and its world were otherwise pretty realistic. Namely, in Flight Simulator 2004, part of the map of South America had some buggy elevation data which made this big area of it shoot miles up into the sky. The feeling of approaching it at what seemed like a crawl, and it slowly emerging from the atmospheric haze, and your plane being dwarfed by it as you got closer and closer, was absolutely creepy as shit. I can't really explain it. Something about this impossible nonsensical super-wide monolith shooting up out of the ground really weirded me out.

It didn't help that if you flew your plane into it, the game would glitch and send you skyrocketing (literally) way up high, and you'd lose control of your plane in the far upper atmosphere, spinning uncontrollably. Like this alien monolith thing teleported you up there and then fried your plane.

Here's a shot of it. (Yes yes, penis jokes.) It doesn't look tall here, because it's far off in the distance. If there were a normal-sized skyscraper right next to it for scale, it'd be tiny, and very close to the ground.
 
I thought this was going to be nothing but holy fuck, that is absolutely terrifying. What kind of fucking bug is that!?

Sony producing more horrifying shit than From Software.
 
Not gonna lie, ill probably scream like a little girl if Honeycomb Man appeared as the result of me creating a custom player version of myself in any sports game. Just thinking that he is using my real name and winking and trying to say something gives me shivers.

You know, we get threads like this every once in a while of "Omg horrifying" bugs that are about as traumatic as spilled milk.

But this shit... Actually disturbs me. Holy shit this is some next level From Software art reject stuff.

I have actually seen some legitimately fucked up stuff in real life (Funeral Home job) but I don't think anything has made my hair stand on end like those pictures. What the everloving Hell.... H.P. Lovecraft would have loved to see that shit.

You joke but that's what I'm processing right now. the first picture is just regular nasty bugs... The honeycomb one.... UGHHHHH. I've googled tryptophobia several times in the past and got a slight goosebump or maybe a slight tingle at most.

I've never had a visceral reaction to a photo like that. If there is a chance of that coming out... I cant take it.
