Looking another time at the video, I think I figured out the way it's meant to be played.
If you take one step to the front the character will go to the front, one step back and the character will go back. This way you would never reach the end of the room (unless you were playing in a cupboard ).
Awesome video, that's for sure.

The video actually used the word "sleek" to describe the system.
The video actually used "DVD" as the medium to go into the machine.
The video showed the DVD going into a self-loading drive.

All of that was exactly what Perrin said, which is crazy beacuse that was said like TODAY.

With the software today that would not be difficult. If you work in a production studio/goto a good college/university where you have software and good computers. I'm sure a student/team could whip that up if they had time/incentive (IE final project). I see that as an A+ project for a computer class somewhere. Unless of course your professor/teacher is a big Xbox fan.

I thought that the Mario model was bad, but maybe it takes into account the height of the wearer. IE the distance from the main console to the headgear. That could explain why we have a tall Mario.

If you notice, the video uses the exact wording Perrin used to descibe it when it shows the visor detached from the console and it shows the dimensions of the visor. Still fake, though, unfortunately.
