This is the dumbest mentality. That’s like saying you wouldn’t watch madalorian because TROS sucked. Or won’t watch the new LOTR show because the hobbit movies sucked.

My interest in star wars did actually go down the drain with the sequel trilogy.

I ended up enjoying the Mandalorian but I wasnt sold at all before watching it. And even now I'm very doubtful of the quality of future Stat Wars projects under Disney and even the Mandalorian itself is less enjoyable since you know it will still all lead to the shitty plot in the sequels.

Not to mention Star Wars and LOTR are build on a strong foundation. People get excited for new LOTR projects despite the shitty hobbit movies because their love for the original movie trilogy is still there.

GOT doesn't have that. There is no strong foundation, it couldn't finish telling its OG story before turning to shit.

This can't really be emphasized enough. Star War and LOTR have (some) staying power despite their recent output because everyone remembers what a gem the OG portrayal was. Show only GoT fans (the majority of fans) don't have that, great earlier seasons and shitty latter seasons net a slightly above average show at best. I'll be shocked if this show is successful.

What do you call it when someone throws a fit because of a minor change? The opposite of woke? Like I can’t see myself being upset because a character is a different colour then their original design. Especially when it comes to adaptations that always have much more changes then just the colour of someone’s skin.

This has been happen for a while now but it seems more common now obviously. No one complained as much before when woke wasn’t even a thing. For GOT and Targaryens I can see the issue and the problems it could cause but I’ll wait and see how they handle it before I call something a shit show.

I remember when people cried about black people being in the Witcher show. When I watched the show TBH I didn’t even notice and they didn’t feel out of place. But the show was trash anyways. Not because of it being woke but because it didn’t do the things that matter good at all

It was created to mock black people who claim that they originated from Egypt and that Egyptian were black. (Not that I'm getting into whether they were or weren't.) If you see one offensive enough, point it out and/or report it. I clearly don't scoff at every joke myself but some shit can be borderline, which is why I point it out. It's not about being mad, it's about stopping a trend from starting. There are posters on here sometimes saying borderline shit because they are testing the waters and it's partly our fault because some lines can get blurred when commenting about a character being the wrong complexion.
