How are GPU prices and supplies in your region?

In Canada, it has stabilized and some models are very close to the US MSRP.

The cheapest RTX 5080 in stock on Canada Computers is the Zotac Gaming for $1700 CAD or $1216 USD, so just $16, a tad above the $1200 MSRP.

The cheapest RTX 5070 Ti in stock on Canada Computers is again the Windforce for $1089 CAD or $780 USD, so 4% above the MSRP.

The cheapest RTX 5070 in stock on Canada Computers is the Windforce for $760 CAD or $545 USD. Still 9% above MSRP.

The cheapest RTX 5060 Ti 8GB in stock on Canada Computers is the ASUS Prime for $550 CAD or $394 USD. Only 4% above MSRP, but it's an 8GB and sucks,

The cheapest RTX 5060 Ti 16GB in stock on Canada Computers is again the ASUS Prime for $626 CAD or $448 USD, 4% above MSRP.

The cheapest RX 9070 in stock on Canada Computers is the Sapphire Pulse for $839 CAD or $601 USD, 9% above MSRP.

The cheapest 9070 XT in stock on Canada Computers is the Gigabyte Gaming OC for $949 CAD or 679 USD, still a noticeable 13% above MSRP, but also 13% more expensive than the 9070 for 20% more performance. It's 13% cheaper than the 5070 Ti but only 5% slower. This looks like one of the better value cards here too.

The cheapest RTX 5090 is not available. There's no individual unit, just bundles. Otherwise, the lowest priced 5090 is the ASUS ROG Astral that comes with a 1200W ASUS ROG Strix PSU totaling $4399 CAD or $3148 USD. I don't even need to look this up to know that this is a ripoff and the 5090 is nowhere near its MSRP.

Overall, not too bad. The situation is rosier on the NVIDIA than the AMD side, but even factoring AMD's significant markup over MSRP, the 9070 remains an attractive option. If it ever drops down to within 5% of its US MSRP, it will have the best value proposition in the upper mid-range/high-end segment.

Stabilised at well above msrp even if we take into account 22%vat.
Cheapest 5060ti 16gigs is 2095pln aka 548 usd, and we got no trump tarrifs here :D
Same card in the US currently 480usd, and that after whole tarrifs shaenanigans:

US prices are still out of whack I feel. Cheapest 5070 Ti I have seen was from Newegg or Microcenter for about $850 (not including tax).

I haven't seen a 5080 under $1400 or so. And cheapest 5070 I have seen was about $610.

For AMD's side, I have not seen 9070 XT for under $800 and 9070 for under $700-750 (don't quite remember for this one).

So US prices are still not great unfortunately. Especially 5080 seems to be the worst of the bunch.

Edit: 5060Ti 16GB seems to be closer to MSRP than the rest. I guess the card isn't as attractive with price vs performance?

So it seems outside of US prices for GPUs are stabilizing (if higher than they should be considering what they deliver).

And US has a bunch of issues between tariffs, hiked up docking cost, additional container processing fees and so on.

We need Jensen Nvidia and Lisa AMD (going with Tim Epic and Tim Apple theme) to make GPUs in US. How hard can it be!? 😉

It has been all over the place in Sweden, but seems like stocks are stabilizing a bit. Recently saw ASUS 5090 TUF listed at the equivalent of 3500 EUR, highway robbery. But now I see it elsewhere in stock for 2500 EUR. I managed to find a Gigabyte 5090 Windforce OC for 2500 EUR two months ago and have been happy with it.

At the same time I remember feeling crazy for spending 1100 EUR on a 2080ti. Made almost all of that money back with some part time BTC mining and holding as well. Those were the days!

Yes the situation is like you OP around Montreal area in Quebec.

Very easy to go to a store and buy at near MSRP. Been like that for a while.

Much better than ADA supply imo, except the 5090 maybe but that's a ridiculous amount of money anyway

Except 5090, everything stablised and "affordable"

9070XT AIB MSRP models but out of stocks quicker but restocking happens.

5090 AIB MSRP prices are coming down, if the trend continues, they will be MSRP $1999 in 2 more months. Seems like nobody wants a RTX 50. No more mining, no more hoarding.

Lessons learnt, just wait 6 months from launch, dont pay scalpers. The drivers need time now too.

Prices aren't putting me off pc gaming more than windows ( which is changing with wine ) and the sizes of components. Are getting bigger not smaller. But hopefully that will become a non issues as WiFi gets faster and all I'll need is a WiFi kvm and not a full PC in different rooms of the house.

Netherlands/Germany here, prices have come down and are close to or at MSRP for a lot of the models, VAT is included.

5090, €2299
5080, €1089
5070ti, €869
5070, €579
5060ti 16GB, €449
9070 XT, €739
9070, €689

Considering this includes 20% VAT, this isn't bad, all things considered. A 9070 XT or a 5070 Ti would easily last for 3-4 years or longer unless you must have 4K at high frame rates.

usa;

Grabbed a 9070xt for $750 at a local place yesterday. Besides that one card, the prices were very high. 5080's $1500-$1700. 5090's $3000+. 9070xt's $950+.

Most 5090 AIB's at the Microcenters In north GA seem to start around $2950 and they have been stocked pretty well for the past two weeks . 9070's around the 700 -900 mark again pretty well stocked
I'm so close to just saying fuck it and paying the 3k for a card as I do not think these prices are gonna lower. My conscience is in a fierce battle atm (I did buy a 1000w psu though... just in case :messenger_smirking:

What? I haven't seen any in the Netherlands that 'cheap'. Care to tip a bro?

Case king for some of them, like the 5090 or 9070 XT. You have to check often because at that price they disappear very quickly. Otherwise check Marktplaats, you can often find around those prices (or cheaper if you are lucky), brand new and sealed of course. I tend to stay away from Megekko these days due to terrible customer service.

Aside from the 5090 pretty much MSRP across the board now (central Europe), some offers are even below that.
Unfortunately the MSRPs are also inflated extortion numbers so make of that what you want.

If it was 20-25% premium that's brutal but you can kind of convince yourself that it makes sense for the top end models. These are 50%+ markups. For example, there's no reason that a 5070ti Gigabyte Aorus has a $250 markup (theoretically for the cooler and features) and the same damn cooler and features for the 5080 Gigabyte Aorus is a $650 markup. I really wanted a 5080 but no f-ing way at that price, it's beyond shameless. I'm not saying don't buy over MSRP but don't just throw your money away. If you rally want a 5080/5090 and don't absolutely need one right now, let them sit a while, they'll have to mark them down.

Thanks bro, you are a life saver! Literally, since the ones I've seen are like €3300,- lol

In my region I am stuck with a shitty staples out let and a few mom and pop's computer stores. Why I never got into this bushiness to capitalize on it is beyond me. I bet I could have cleaned up on my area. Oh well... But in any case... all of my region specific options suck, and I have been limited to online availability for the last few decades. My god do I miss Futureshop and NCIX. No point looking at GPU availability at any of the online Canadian computer retailers.

You have to go in store.
At Canada Computers there's 5 5090 Asus Tuff in Ottawa and 3 in Montreal. $3,629

Just yesterday I managed to grab a liquid cooled 5090 for 2850€.
Still a bit more expensive than I'd like but for a LC okay.

I wanted to nag one now since there are talks of nvidia increasing the price again which very likely would also translate to AIBs.
Also the cheepest 5090 I saw is around FE price, but usually instantly sold out.

The Netherlands: availability good- except the 5090.
Prices: at or even slightly below MSRP

Dutch people may not have souls but at least we got money.
