How big is your current gen physical collection?

Just curious to how many physical games people have..

Currently I have:
41 for PS5 (7 of these are still unopened)
10 for Series X/S
15 for Switch if counting that as current gen.

Probably about 15 ps5 games and maybe 35 switch games. Physical that is. My only physical Xbox game is Xcom 2

Went fully digital half way through the 360/PS3 gen.

Had a few Switch games but I've sold them all.

Modern physical games aren't worth the space they take imo. No manual and most games will require a patch to be downloaded anyway.

All digital but I would like to start a physical collection just for fun once I get rich for both movies and games. I do like how people put up their displays on YouTube and would like to be one of them one day.

I sold a lot of mine recently, but have held onto my main collection of N64 stuff, I have around 260 carts.

I had hundreds and hundreds of PS2/GC/Wii/Xbox discs onwards but sold them all. I still have a handful of Dreamcast games though, I have every variant of Shenmue 1 & 2 for example. Couldn't part with that.

Everything else is digital now.

Edit - Misread lol. Current gen? Does switch still count? About 12 maybe?

4 or 5 discs for Xbox Original, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

I don't even know if a disc drive works in my Series X. Never inserted a disc.

110 PS5 Games
54 Switch Games
0 XSX Games but plent of 360 games for BC. XSX is a backwards compatibility machine. Can't not have something to play Lost Odyssey on

I literally don't know because a lot are boxed up. On the shelves I have 42 switch games, 7 Xbox games, and 67 PS5 games. This does not include collectors editions

I've been buying tons of physical, even if I don't play them now. Once digital is the only option I am done buying games and my physical collection will carry me through until I die.

Do you generally buy new and sell them close to new value (assuming you finish them close to launch) or do you lean towards buy used?

I buy new releases new. Older releases I'll rent from Gamefly. I do buy used, but it is rare these days. I generally sell the new games and get back about half what I paid.

I had about 5 physical games until I traded in the PS5 for the PS5 Pro, then I traded in the last of the games and went fully digital.

2 games.

The House in Fata Morgana - Nintendo Switch
Fire Emblem Engage - Nintendo Switch (JP version I bought while I was over there and was dirt cheap in comparison)

I'm 100% physical on anything past the 7th generation otherwise.

Had time with ps5 digital edition and went back the physical with the series x, so part digital part physical this gen, with physical the struggle is space.

Series X 3 physical games
