How big is your current gen physical collection?

i haven't bought much physical lately. My guesstimate it is about nearly 30 ps5 and a little over 30 switch games. I usually only buy physical if it's a day one or around $20.

outside of a few gb games Ive held on to growing up, zilch.
I converted to digital around the same time I converted to PC

About the size of 3 quarks.

Roughly 40 ps5 physical….if there's a game I want,I simply look up the digital price, then I look up the price for the physical version of that same game, and go with the cheaper option..

Ps5 - 30 +\- 6 (been a while since I looked)
XSX - 18 I added expedition 33 to that pile this month…but that is the first physical XSX pick up since Monster Hunter Wilds and before that probably like a dragon infinite wealth.

If we are counting ps4 and switch in mix triple digits on both.

Physical? mostly switch games, and about nearly half of them are ps5 here
We often exchange games here, so my collections are not much, but enough to buy more PS5+Xbox+Switch, or new med PC.

The first consideration when I buy a game is 'would I rather play this on Steam?'

If the answer is no, I'll buy the physical version on PS5 and play it from the comfort of my sofa in the living room.

If a game is great but I played it on pc, I will usually pick up a physical copy just to put on the shelf. I'm very selective these days, don't see the point in being a hoarder. This year I will likely pick up MGS3 Delta and Mafia 4 for the shelf.

Kinda scary how people gave up their ownership and freedom…. For really no reason?
Physical games are cheaper, you won't them, mostly work offline patched or not.
And are not tied to an account.

We have a post here every now and then about someone loosing access to their account due to hacking or mysterious banning. Hundreds of games gone. Maybe it's rare but it doesn't fill me with confidence
And you can trade them in if you get bored of them.

You don't have to wait for the dear leader to authorise a selective sale to get a game cheap either. I picked up Elden Ring for £20 last year, just as good condition as if I'd bought it new. It's still £50 right now on the PS Store.

Yeah I just got split fiction new for 40 and sold for 30 after finishing. I don't do that often but with a games like that it makes sense

PC physical 404 not found
Pc is exempt imo.
If you own games on steam or got, you have access to the files and can backup. No issue more or less.

It if you are on ps5 and are not using all the ownership, independence and cheaper physical games? Why. Just why. Psn doesn't give you the same freedoms steam and physical gaming does
